Does anyone know any breeds that meet this requirements?

- 50-60 lbs

- short/medium length hair (Preferably short)

- trainable.

All I can come up with are hounds and pits. but idk what type of hound... and I need specifics. (Asking for a dog trainer.) Im sorry if thats mission impossible!

oh and rescues are perfectly fine, as are mixed breeds! Rescues preferred, actually I think.

Like Maharet and Sam had said, those fit pretty much any breed, but what exactly are they looking for? A service dog or a work dog? I am assuming - sorry if I am incorrect - they are looking for a service dog, so below are the best breeds that fit those listed requirements:

- Labrador Retriever {preferably female, as males can get up into mid-60's - 70's in weight and females are in the low 50's}.

- German Shepherd

- Setter mixes

- Samoyed crosses

- Border Collie cross

The last three listed as recommended seizure/seizure alert dogs.

Hope these help!! :)

equ, they are looking for a service dog prospect that can do things like open doors, push buttons, pick up things and give them to me, help me up/down stairs, things of that nature. Does that help?

With proper training ANY breed can do those things. Just takes time and dedication. Just saying...

Basically any fairly smaller lab or lab cross fits that description. Labs and any of their crosses are super trainable.
