I don't know if this is with anybody else but EVERY TIME I've ever accepted a bid in auctions, and I think I've been back to playing HP over a month now... I have to send the link to the player afterwards, because it never works. Yes, I'm sending the correct format.

It's worked for me before but you have to follow the qualifications EXACTLY TO THE DOT. You get one try and if you don't follow the directions on that one try, it won't work because it doesn't let you redo. But yeah, I think they should give you an error message AND let you retry :/

Is there a way to tell if you've been paid? If it says "you've accepted a bid of $(with no amount here) by player whoever" does that mean you've been paid?

You don't get paid when you accept the bid, you get paid when you finalize the auction.

Alright, and what would happen if you accept a bid, and when you go to finalize it, the other person has insufficient funds?

the money gets taken out of their account when you accept the bid so it doesn't matter if they have no money when you finalize it :)

I think this needs to be adjusted so us buyers get the image before people complete the graphic auction without giving us the image...this has happened many times to me and i hate having to remind people about them..thats not my job is it? Especially if we are paying alot for them. We should get the image as soon as its finalized...

It still doesnt help when we have to wait weeks before we get an image we paid for and they can easily finalize auctions and get free money...

I agree with aza, I think it is wrong for an auction to be finalised straight after you have your bid accepted. I have to remind so many people that I am still waiting on my picture/layout and quite a few times I have had to wait between a month and 3 months for it!

^ Auctions arent finalized when the bid is accepted.. It is finalized by the person who set up the auction and they have 1 week after accepting the bid to finalize and send the image through.. When ever I run an auction, if its a premade, I finalize and send the picture immediately. If its a custom, I always tell the person who bought it how long it will take to complete and if it will be more than 7 days, I confirm that I am finalizing the auction and that they are ok with paying before they get the image. It sounds like the people you are buying from are just being shady and not doing a good job of delivering what they've offered (and been paid for).

Yeah, other than making a rule against it, I can't see a way to stop this from happening since the game doesn't automatically finalize anything. As far as the other things, I'll see what I can see since it usually works for me and looks like it's only getting stuffed up sometimes.

Would giving an error message AND not letting us finalize the auction until the requirements are met be a solution? Most of the time, it doesn't work because the image isn't the right size (dimensions or size-wise) and so the picture never gets delivered.

I prefer hosting them myself since I can wiggle bigger pictures and file sizes in. I always send the URL before I finalize the auction, and in the case of customs whatever I have WIP wise I screenshot and use that to finalize the auction so the customer knows I'm working on it.
