First Horse Riding Lesson

Eeeep! I've finally booked myself in for riding lessons! I'm going on Monday for my first one and am suuuper excited! I've always wanted to ever since I was little but my parents were never into it. I've ridden before but never any proper lessons, just the cousin's Australian Riding Pony around the paddock lol. What was everyone else's first lesson experiences like? |

Excitinggg! I vaguely remember my first riding lesson, on a black pony called Smasher! It was sooo exciting even though I was on a lunge lead and probably only walked round :P |

That's probably all I'll be doing as well, keep in mind I'm a 20 year old female aha! And also learning to tack up and all that lol. :) |

First 'official' lesson, the shettie I was stubbornly refused to stand up, so I was given another little pony instead (12.2 feels much larger than 10hh when you're 4, haha). Can't say I actually remember much.Have a great time but beware: once you're hooked, there's no going back, you're addicted for life (and I wouldn't suggest attempting to go cold turkey) ;)Let us know how you get along? Love hearing about other peoples experiences riding.

Haha! That doesn't surprise me with a shettie lol. :P Yeah I'm expecting myself to be addicted before I'm even on the horse haha. Oh dear lol, why's that? Thank you I will do. :) |

Yay! Have fun :).My first lesson I just rode around the arena and the trainer rode next to me, but I was a kid so I don't remember it very clearly. I remember that I had fun though! |

I remember the sheltie I started on. Well, I remember how she looked but I can't recall her name at the moment. How strange. xDHave fun with it! It gets really addicting. I hate that I haven't in quite some time. ): You start to get desperate.. like trail rides with a group where they treat you like you have no idea what you're doing, BUT at least you're on a horse right?! |

Bah! I had soo much fun! Absolutely loved it! Felt really good to be back on a horse again. I just started learning all the basics again to begin with but my instructor is super lovely and the horse I rode was such a sweetie, he was falling asleep while being tacked up lol.I cannot wait until next Monday, highlight of my week! |

I remember the first time I rode a horse. ^^ I was very, very young, and I was just led around the arena a couple of times. |
