I had one, and it's good as long as you're fine with not being able to download any type of programs. They're also known for the keyboards to start messing up, so I'd suggest buying an extended warranty. Mine wasn't three months old and I had to send it in to be fixed. |

I have a chromebook and it does pretty basic things. its basically just a really big android in laptop form. So if you're okay with only being able to download things from google play, you'll be fine. Solid investment for a temporary computer |

I had a Chromebook! I used to use it for notes in class, but I gave it to Joel because I favored by Macbook and Surface over it, but this is his second Chromebook and he's very happy with it. They are nice and simple and affordable, but in out experience, with regular use they only last a few years before things start to go wrong, and you can't really download programs like Photoshop on them. But they are definitely a good deal for the price, and if I had the need I would buy one again. |

I have one! Basically what everyone else has already said. And you don’t eeally realize what all you’re used to downloading until you can’t. Think things like word programs, even gimp, iTunes, and so on. It’s a great cheap option BUT it is highly limited. Main acct: #6784 |

I agree with what everyone has posted before me!!
I have a Chromebook and I love it, but I wouldn't have purchased it if I hadn't of already had a desktop. Primarily I use my desktop and it does everthhing I need it to do, downloading wise. But then I have my Chromebook.. I just needed one I was able to use in my down time at work. Facebook, HP, other games, and netflix. So it's perfect for that! Actually bought it refurbished for like $80 bucks and bought a two year warranty for about $20 and for only spending a hundred bucks on it, it's perfect for what I need. |

I use my Chromebook mostly for school. I can type up things in OneDrive and transfer them to word when I get home. It also allows me to hang out on the internets while I'm in class & has a good battery life. I have an older Toshiba windows & an older Mac Pro so I use all three for differen things. Hoping to get Josh's (almost brand new mac) when he upgrades to an even fancier computer for school and consolidate my use for different computers into one. |
