This is a question that has been asked by many players in the forum and all typically have the same answers. Points and breedings really depend on what you want to achieve as a breeder. The most common rule-of-thumb though is to reach a minimum of 1 million points on your pair(s) that your breeding.

Privates are a common form of training for fast points, but that is not always a legible option for returning/new players; while it is slower than privates, the best way to train 80 shows a week via publics and Club shows. Club shows, similiar to privates, boost 2,000 points for your horse in addition to your breed specialty bonus as an Upgraded player. All publics are 1,000 points, but they can add up decently if your horse(s) place well in shows (1st - 3rd place). You can add extra shows for a boost, but this is entirely optional given what you want to achieve, but doing this method consistently for up to 2 months game time will make them 1millers before breeding.

Hope this was helpful! :)

P.S -Just as a tip, the "ideal age" to breed your horses is depending on what you're planning; if you wish to sell back-up foals, then you can start breeding at 16 - 17 years of age then breed the final at 19 - 20 years for yourself, but if you are only breeding for yourself (i.e private lines), then you can wait as long as 20 years to breed since all horses retire at 21 years of age. Most horses, by rule of thumb, have no more than 1 - 2 foals in their entire lives. It is personal preference who you ask on how many foals is too many, but this is something we have all pretty much settled on. Happy training!

Welcome back!

Equ's answer is great and I completely agree!

I personally have a retirement goal of 1.2million (at the very least) but I try to aim for between 1.3 - 1.5. As for the birth points, I think the calculation is dam x 0.03 sire x 0.04 (or something to that effect) and that will give you an approximate value!

Thank you Equ, It was very helpful. I wasnt quite sure if I should hold out to 1 mill or not but I defently will now! :) Ill also have to make my own private shows for my horses. I had no idea about those. :)

Thank you also Adeina, I was carious if there was an actual calculation for some what close point range to go off of.

Dam is .04 and the sire is .03 for the points. Ade had it backwards.

But my first generation ranges anywhere from 1.1 mil to 1.3 milion just depending on how trianing goes. If you can do private shows definitely better! 100 private shows will end with a first gen somewhere around 5million points to give you some idea on that.
