Hi, I'm kinda new(ish...I've had the account for a while, but I never very actively used it). I'm wondering: how do people feel about inbreeding on here? Every game seems to have their own opinion (as I recall, on Howrse it was CRAZY!) I just want to know this because I'm trying to start a line of Kelpies and I'm wondering what approach to take. Not all who wander are lost.

Imbreeding is not allowed in the game. If you try to a message will pop up saying so.

Yeah inbreeding isn't popular at all here and neither is over breeding.

Isn't howrse all about genetics? Probably why inbreeding is condoned on there, I dunno I don't have an account.No inbreeding on here :P and not a lot of foals, nice to keep the lines a bit more exclusive/rare. I think its more about points and keeping lines going on here, I'm relatively new too though so that's just my impression :)

You can't inbreed immediate relations, as the game won't allow it, you'll get some sort of error message, but after a couple of generations it appears that it loses track and doesn't stop it anymore so you're free to breed whoever to whoever.Inbreeding IS allowed, the staff haven't gone so far as to disallow it (as in punish for doing it) and if you choose to do it then its your decision, but most people aren't particularly fond of it so if you had some inbred lines, and wanted to sell or offer/request stud services, I doubt you'd find many people interested.

Basically what Shae above me said :).The game literally won't allow you to breed to parents/grandparents. But after that it doesn't keep track and you can if you want to.

I wish it could alert you if you were about to inbreed past what it just won't allow... Like "You are about to inbreed. Continue?" That would be great. :)
