Hi!

Anyone have tips on convincing someone to return a horse? I wasn't able to log into my retirement account for a while (pregrad consolidation hours at the hospital took over my life) and though I managed to recover a few, two were purchased from the humane society thing. :( 

I would just message the player, let them know what happened and how you would really like to purchase the horses back and see what they say. I feel like we have a really awesome community here and I think most people would understand and want to help. :-)

I think for me it would depend on who had them on if I asked or not. :( However if you're really set on getting them back then your best bet is going to be to message them politely and say that they're apart of your lines explain the reason for your hiatus, and hope they give them back politely.  If they say no, then offer to buy the animal back. Unfortuantely because they purchased it from the HA if they don't want to give it back your best bet is going to be to offer them a fair price to re-purchase because they're not under an obligation to simply return it.

Well, I messaged both and I don't know either of them but it doesn't help both are retirement accounts so I guess my horses are collection items. It may be a while before I hear back, but tried what you suggested!

If they were bred you might be better off asking to purchase a descendent. But the good news is, if they were bred then their data will be saved even if they are retired at some point for whatever reason. Desperately hanging only lines isn’t a huge deal here. Although I also totally get the sentimental value thing! I have a TON of animals retired with me just because I change imagine retiring any of them off an account. 

Update: One player (shout out to Stark!) was really amazing about it and offered it up for free. One more to go! 

But yes, he's just a retired old guy part of the lines. I love that lines won't die here!

I occasionally go through the HA and when I see lines that I recognize and notice the player went MIA or went on a hiatus I collect the animals and put them on my retirement account for safe keeping, and I know there's other players on the game that do the same thing.  Hopefully these few players did the same thing I had done :P 

Peach just messaged me recently, with the same situation, and I returned her dog to her :)

Well that was seriously awesome. I bid 1 mill on the horse Stark found and she not only sent my horse home but refunded that haha. Skyfire is also happy to return her find as well!
