Hey guys, normally I wouldn't post something like this but considering we have some CA members and we are a horse (and dog) based came I felt compelled.

As I'm sure you've all heard there have been a lot of equine injuries, deaths, and lots of people who work with those animals are injured or hurt from doing their best to save their equine companions. The racehorse tragedy is just one of many that have occured from the fires in California recently. Some people evacuated without their horses, potentially because they literally had no place to go with them and sometimes life is rough. 

Rather than judging the people who have lost animals in this fire I would like to focus on helping those in need who require it. There are LOTS of donation centers set up right now to help victims and so if you can you should consider donating. They are looking for all sorts of donations including gear and supplies to help care for horses. I'm definitely going to be donating what I can in the near future as soon as I get home and take a look at what all I've got sitting around, although I'm probably only going to be able to help financially.

Every time I see stuff about this on FB a I end up tearing up. It’s heartbreaking. I’m definitely going to be donating what I can and I couldn’t think of a better community to invite to help than the HP community.
