Carolina Dog

I am going for it again. Another breed I would like to get added that is NOT AKC or CKC registered is the Carolina Dog. They are WILD dogs native to South-Eastern America (primarily the Carolinas) and are often referred to as the American Dingo. "The Carolina Dog is a native, free-ranging wild canine discovered in America’s Southeast by Dr. I Lehr Brisbin in the 1970’s. These dogs have a remarkable resemblance to the Australian Dingo and exhibit many primitive features and behaviors." ~http://cdrcp.org/ LINKS; http://cdrcp.org/ http://www.carolinadogs.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carolina_Dog http://www.californiacarolinadogs.com/ |

Can't edit other post but I did find out they are able to be registered in the UKC and they are a part of the American Rare Breed Association. http://www.arba.org/carolina_dog.htm |

Not to rain on your parade but when i started a thread about coyotes i was told that getting wild dogs added isn't the same as domesticated dogs. |

What about Wolves? They aren't a domesticated breed, so if that's the case they probably shouldn't be on here either, and neither should foxes. =/ doesn't make much sense. |

They have been on the game since it started pretty much. Any new wild breeds are under the new rules. |

Also, if they're able to be registered in a breed registry, I would say they aren't technically a wild breed... don't quote me on that though! You should check with the admins |

They WERE a wild breed, but are mainly kept in captivity and as pets now. They were a dying out breed. |
