Potterbred is a player-run association created especially for Potterheads! It was established to bring together the great community of Harry Potter fans on HorsePhenomena. Breeders of Hippogriffs or Thestrals, players with Potter-themes lines, and anyone who just loves Harry Potter are all welcome here.

Members get access to private shows, rankings, and contests with great prizes (like training tickets!), as well as discounted graphics and coding. There are no restrictions on joining, just a 500.000 HPD registration fee which goes towards funding contests and prizes!

 Get Sorted! Take the Sorting Hat quiz linked to the left and get Sorted into your Hogwarts house! You'll be listed as a member of that house on our house roster page, also linked on the left. Once Sorted, you can start earning points for your house! Earn more points and get member ranks like Prefect and even Head Boy or Girl!

 Rank your creatures! If you breed Hippogriffs or Thestrals, or you have a Harry Potter themed line, you can submit your animals into the rankings! Rankings are separated by house and the top animals will earn their breeder a prize every month! To see the current rankings, click the link to the side!

 Members have access to private horse and dog shows, contests with great prizes (like training tickets), and discounts from coders and artists. 

There are many fun activities in the works as well, like Quidditch games and access to Diagon Alley!

You see the magical aura around her, just like you could with the elves in the Griffin Lodge inn. But somehow, it seems stronger, more warping and more sparkling.

"You're with the Huntsmen," she states simply, balancing the mushroom basket on her hip. "I can tell. You smell like the stone up there."

In the distance, the rumbling sound you heard earlier echoes again. The woman tilts her head to listen, and the pointed tips of her ears peek through her hair. The points aren't nearly as sharp as other elves you've seen - she must be half-human.

When she looks back at you, there's a faint frown on her face.

"Well, aren't you going to introduce yourself? My name is Valtheryn, and I live hereabouts." With a quick smile, she tacks on, "By hereabouts, I mean this general plane of existence, of course. Why anyone would need to know more specifics than that, I've no idea. That's obviously the most important information one can learn about another."

Valtheryn begins to wander off, and you find yourself wondering what on earth just happened. She pauses, and tosses a look back over her shoulder.

"Coming? I've got something you'll need. Or needed in the past. Or may not need at all, depending on your choices in next month's activity..." She winks, and you can't help but follow after her, despite your utter confusion about what she's said.

She chatters as you walk, and you start to notice that she's leading you in one big circle through the swampy trees. Just as you open your mouth to ask about it, a loud bark sounds from behind the half-elf, and she brightens up even more than she already was.

From the shadows, a hulking jumbled shape comes barreling at Valtheryn. You don't get a chance to draw your weapon before she's on the ground beneath a massive doglike beast. It has thick armored scales across its back, fur on its sides and belly, and ivory horns sprouting from its head. When it lifts its head to bark at you, a burst of flame follows the sound.

"This is a dear friend of mine," Valtheryn says cheerfully, still lying on her back on the ground. "He's a dragonwolf, quite rare and quite helpful if you treat him right." As she speaks, the dragonwolf hops off her chest and struts over to you, nosing your cheek and growling softly. Somehow, the sound doesn't seem menacing, rather affectionate.

"He wants to help you, and I can promise you'll need it. There's something dark coming, a character who's yet to take the stage."

You cautiously run your fingers through the soft fur beneath his chin, and the dragonwolf continues to rumble, slitted serpent's eyes falling closed. You raise your head to reply to the half-elf, and the words die on your lips. She's nowhere to be found. Before you, the dragonwolf yips happily, and you realize you've no idea how to care for the creature. It's probably time to return to Griffin Lodge.
