Hi everyone! I meant to post about this sooner and have been super busy and haven't had a chance until now. Those of you who watch me on DeviantArt may already know this, but I thought putting a reminder here would be good as well, as I know many of you have enjoyed using my stock in the past. Earlier this year I decided I no longer wanted to offer stock on DA, I won't get into the reason why here, but if you are curious you can read my journals on DA. After leaving I felt kind of sad about it, as I have always enjoyed seeing all the artwork made with my stock, so I decided as a Christmas gift to my watchers that I would add all of my stock back to DA, for the month of December only. So, I wanted to make sure everyone here has a chance to save some of my stock before its gone! Any images saved still need to have credit to me if they are used, so I suggest putting them into a folder under either my DA name or my HP name and number. Credit can be either given to my DA account or to my account here on HP, doesn't matter! :-)

I also want to add that I did check with Sam to make sure this is okay, since the images won't be available after December and she did say that it's fine to still use the images as long as you still include credit on the finished image. :-)

I have also thought about creating a gallery on my SmugMug account and only giving the password to everyone here on HP, so that everyone here could still have access to my stock. So let me know if anyone would maybe be interested in this. I have tons of new images that I haven't posted to DA that I might be willing to share. :-)

This is great Flair! Thank you! I was so bummed when I saw you took down your photos.

I know I have looked through your stock before, Flair! (Without knowing it was you, lol!) That would be great if there could be a way for HPers to have exclusive access to your stock! :)

I definitely didn't want to remove my stock, but the issue I have with DA is that most of the artists on there are making $30 or more per commission, while stock providers get nothing. I had it in my rules that I was to receive 10% of the commission price, which I think is very fair, and while there were some that followed this rule, many didn't. I feel like a lot of the artists on DA just see stock and save it without reading the rules at all, because even when I said my stock was not supposed to be used for commissions people still used it for them anyway…. :-/

Anyway, I don't want to go into a huge rant about it, lol. It is what it is. I love the community here and trust people to use my work the way they are supposed to, so I probably will make my stock available just for HP, but I need to think about how I want to set that up. :-)

Sorry to hear about all your troubles with enforcement - I read your past journals - but grateful that you trust the HP community enough to offer this special and generous access. Your stock is a privilege to access to amateurs and pros alike and you deserve credit for it!

Reno I really miss photographing Arabians! Just doesn’t seam to be a market for it around here anymore... I pretty much only photograph Warmbloods now.
