I decided it was time for new living room furniture because we've had our couch and recliner for YEARS. We originally got them from the community recycle centre where people donate unwanted furniture etc and the centre resells it and donates the money to local charities. We got some very comfortable years out of the second hand couch and recliner, and they are both still in excellent condition. I had them professionally cleaned a few weeks ago and they both look near new again. So, I decided it's time for us to move on to something new because i'm in an excellent financial position and can afford new furniture for the first time in my life lol. I donated the couch and recliner back to the recycle centre so that someone else can benefit from them hopefully for as long as we did.

We picked up our new stuff on Saturday and I just got around to setting up my living room today lol. The coffee table and tv unit came flat-packed so we had to put them together and lord wasn't that a task and a half.





I wanted to re-arrange (and started to) and put the tv along the wall with the 2nd recliner against it, but the cables to my Foxtel (pay tv) box don't reach that far so I can't. So it has to stay where it is and one recliner has to be against the wall so you can't recline it. Oh well, it's still comfy lol.

I might ask boss lady (as it's her house) if I can attach a floating shelf somewhere near the TV so I can put my amplifier on it and not have it sitting on the subwoofer.
