So I have an equestrian blog (as a bunch of you know) and I'm looking for topics that aren't just myself and Bella. I'd like to branch out a little this year  and also be posting at least once a week so I was wondering if anyone had any content suggestions?

I'm doing one on supplements for sure, a RL friend asked me to do some look into that after discussing hoof supplements with her (Bella is on pure biotin). But other than that I'm looooost.

What about stuff for people who are beginners at horse ownership or even just new to riding? Stuff that could be useful for people who don't yet own horses and want to know things like some basic tips regarding grooming, feeding, vets & farriers, etc?

Since I'm heavily leaning towards buying a horse in the near future, I'd love to see a blog on what you did for research, what you absolutely needed to know before buying, things like that. Like Horse Buying 101. :3

Ado: It would be a "don't do as I did" post for sure! I did just about everything wrong (and knew it) when I bought Bella. It's a good topic though!

Feeding can be a bit difficult depending on the type of horse you're trying to feed but def something to talk about since Bella's been on a few different programs over the years.

Tips for Beginners, Vet & Ferrier are all things I can cover and do general stuff on since I know certain things change from place to place.

Keep the suggestions coming! Writing notes in my phone as they come in!

I agree with Ado about Horse Buying 101, because when you haven't done it before, you don't know what to ask or look for. So like vet check, farrier check, coggins test, potential for trial, health issues to ask about, checking feet, checking soundness, asking age, health history, checking teeth, etc. I can't think of anything else right now, but you get the idea, haha.

Also you could do a series on breaking bad horse habits! Like horses that rub their heads on your, horses that stick their heads in the air when you're bridling, hesitating at jumps, won't stand at mounting block, etc.

Also, saddle fitting, and saddle measuring! Since that's something that there really isn't enough of a guide on.

All of those would be good to drive traffic to your blog, because theyre good for SEO. People google that stuff when they don't know the answer, and it would behoove you to be what comes up in their search!

@Sam I probably shouldn't write one about bad habit breaking because Bella does all those things. I'm so bad with her. haha Skipper I'm less tolerant with since he's not mine. -hides-

But def traffic driver topics are good!

Do one on hair products and keeping mane/tail without tangles :D

BV, once I get the courage I’m going to start blogging about my lessons so I can def talk about stuff I’ve learned outside of lessons and tie it all together! That’s an awesome idea! I’m also forever explaining tack so that would be fun too! 

Tron, I haven’t but I have a meeting in Atlanta on Friday so I guess I know what I’m doing in the airport! Lol

What about all the things horses can do/volunteer oppertunities? Such are Theraputic riding lessons and volunteer work, mini  horses who visit nursing homes, etc. Might inspire someone to go out and get involved.
