See who is online?

I think it would be very helpful to have a page set up, so we can look and see who is online at the time. Also maybe mods that are online could be placed at the top for easier access? Just a thought :)

Great Idea! (wonder who came up with it...) tehe! This would be nice for partners as well, or if you need to get a hold of a specific person..

This has been suggested before. The main worry is that players will take advantage if they can see that there are no mods online, and can go crazy in chat or wherever. :/

Now we have a 'Last Login' section on player's pages, there isn't really a use for an Online list. As Adranth said, there are more chances for it to work against the good of the site than for.

I think this is a great idea! Maybe exclude mods who are online? You'll never know if they're watching or not. xD

I would hate to know that people can see when I am online, sometimes I just want to log on and not deal with people. So I don't support this idea.

I've always had mixed feelings on this suggestion, partially for the reasons Adranth said in terms of being a mod, as well as for what Blackfire says. Sometimes it's nice to be able to log on and just not deal with people. Like just to hop on and train and get it done and over with sort of thing.

To be honest, I don't support the idea. It makes modding hard (and even if we make it so that mods are invisible, new/unobservant players might not know that so they may cause trouble and if there actually ISN'T a mod on, that could be an issue). Not to mention, sometimes it's really nice to lurk, haha.There are benefits, but on the internet we have to just assume that features will be abused sometimes even if it would be nice for the rule-following players.

I like the idea, and if people want to lurk there could be an added option to be invisible.

you could always put [ONLINE!] in your name or something when you're online, and switch to [OFFLINE!] when you sign out, if you want people to know.. a lot of people on HL used to do that :P

You can go to the search and look for people with that in their name. -shrug-
