Hey everyone! So to give a quick background, I used to breed Catahoulas on HL, started breeding them on HP, went on an unexpected hiatus, and now I'm back and have resurrected my lines through some retirement breedings! I eventually want to have the highest pointed Catahoula on HP, and I'm hoping to do that with the offspring that I get from my next breeding, but that isn't until March.

SOOO, I'm turning to you guys for help! This is my first project, so I'm sort of lost on what to do. And I want it to be successful so I'm looking for ideas or what you guys do. My current two dogs, Hayes and Hadley, have a goal of 3 mill and 2.5 mill. I'm pretty confident they will reach their goals because they're almost at 1 mill each at age 6. 

I want their pup to have a goal of 5 mill points and I'm not quite sure how to go about doing it. I do want to add the breeding point boost so that'll hopefully give the pup around 200k points upon arrival. I have close to 50 privates reserved now for Hadley and Hayes, and I would use those privates on the pup as well. I'm not opposed to ticketing but it gets pricey really fast. 

So I have some questions for you guys: How many privates should I have the pup in? Should I deage the pup? Do you guys have a training chart of how to get my dog to 5 mill by retirement? How do you guys afford to keep projects going? Is there anything I should be cautious of take into consideration?

Basically, save up now and take advantage of everything you can. 100 permanent energy. Private shows (whole shows if possible, less competition = more points). I would honestly only ticket until it's 2 years old. After that shows net you more points. Upgrade of you can. Either selling them for cash or upgrading your own accounts to use your own whole shows.

I know horse wise 90 privates a week gets 5mill by retirement.

But you get less time with dogs.

Id ticket till however long you can and at age 4 deage 2 yrs back to age 2(show trainable age i believe)

what chao said, ticket until 2 and then put that money into shows!
spots are 250ish for dogs so 500k per show would get both the dog and mate way up there

also invest in the extra show energy! 


im getting 4 dogs to about 2.2-2-5m with 35ish shows 
20 are my own and i sell the other spots. Then buy spots in 9 and whole shows 

all the shows have 10 entries though.

If you can find whole shows, buy them. If you can only find spots, that's fine too.

Store energy then cash shop to get to 100, as Chao said de-age at 4.

For sure ticket until the dogs are 2. I'm having to ticket further for my dogs because they're stores AND I'm trying to hit 7mil on the female.

I blew threw 1.5 BIL in less than 2 weeks on tickets alone so if you can avoid using tickets, you should unless you can sell a ton of upgrades like I do to keep the funds flowing (or save up at least 2-3 bil before you start....).
