Hi hun!! I think this looks really great! If I was gonna be nitpicky I would say the the ends of your hair look a little blocky in some spots and could be refined a little, but really I love this! It looks great!

This is honestly great! Good job!

The only critique I would have to offer is that the contrast of your image seems too high; it is causing your shadows to be very dark and harsher than they would be naturally.

Wow! Thank you guys! :)

say yeah I noticed that happens when I use the smaller brush I’ll have to work on my fine tuning with the hair, I just recently went from smushing to paining so thank you! I’m happy you guys think it’s good :)

yes thank you, I gotta work on my shadows,  any certain tips you have for that?  :)

I'm on mobile so the only thing I can like. Say for sure is anything glaringly obvious. Which I dont see anything. So yay! The only thing that i can say is that Tekes typically have roached manes but thats REALLY nitpicky and completely up to the artist.

I could offer some tips! What program do you use? Unfortunately, I'm only familiar with Photoshop, but I may be able to find the same tools/steps for another program.

Ok! Haha that makes sense that he had no mane in the stock image haha, and I didn’t know they did that with them, that really interesting but thank you :)

Kinsley your in luck I use pse 14 :)  I’ve been debating on updating to the new one but I don’t know if the 10 bucks a month is worth.

Looks like a really solid start! I would just say the hair looks a bit stuck-on/disconnected from the horse (if that makes sense)? I would add some shading to the hair/body where they meet to blend things together more, since for instance the forelock would shadow the forehead slightly and the hip would shadow the tail slightly, etc. Other than that you might just want to try tweaking the color balance on the horse to match the background a little, perhaps add a green cast where light could be reflecting off the plants/moss and onto the horse? That would just help mesh the horse with the background. :)

Overall though I think it looks pretty good! ^^

Hi! So, I totally didn't read any of the other comments here, but here's my little critique for ya!

I know the stock image was a lighter colourd horse, and you can kind fit that into the bg by lowering the brightness and even messing with the hues (maybe lowering them.

The mane is gowing towards the right, as if there was wind blowing, but the tail isn't, so that's a little off, just match those hair movements and that should be on point. I also love how you do your hair! The colours match nicely with the horse!

Also, shadowwsssss. I know I use to always forget to add shadows, and I still struggle with them to this day tbh. But your mane doesn't have a shadowww. I can't tell if there's a shadow there on the ground for the horse or not with the logs natural shadowing you have there.

Overall, I aboslutely love this image and I'm excited to see more work from you in the future!
