My entire life has turned to crap, and i've been struggling a lot with my mental health as of late. I won't go into details because you guys have your own things to concentrate on.

But this bird has been my absolute rock. I don't know that I could have pushed myself through if it wasn't for him. Don't get me wrong, I love my dog, and I love my other birds, and of course I love my husband, but Sam has been my boy. He seems to know when i'm about to hit a low point and he changes his attitude toward me. He isn't a particularly cuddly bird but when i'm really low he makes an exception and he lets me cuddle him. Any other time he won't tolerate it LOL.

Tonight i'm having a couple of drinks, bacardi & coke if you want to know :P I gave Sam a few paper straws to play with because he LOVES playing with them and anything inexpensive that he loves is an EXCELLENT toy lol. He was playing with a straw, noticed that I use a straw when I drink my drink, and promptly ran over to give me his straw.

I love this dude so freaking much. Right now he's perched on the back of my chair and he has been mumbling things for like an hour, but there have been some words! So far I have heard "good boy", "what you doing?" and "what?" On top of his usual "doo doo dooooo" hahaha -dies-

What a gorgeous darling. I have a cat with a very similar personality. She's not a touchy feely cat, and doesn't like hugs. However she knows when i'm upset and need cheering up. So she'll then jump up on my lap and let me cuddle and fuss over her
