If I create my own image for a horse, how do I upload it?

Ive tried using imgur and another one similar, but whatever link I copy, I just get a small black cross instead of the picture.  Which code is it I need to copy?

From imgur you need to copy the "direct link" which looks like

It has the i.imgur.com start

If you use a different image hosting website, it usually is also called "Direct Link" but any url with .png, .jpeg, or whatever type of file you saved the image as, should be at the end of the url.
