Hey guys!

We have finally added an "Other" category to clubs, for things that are HP-related, but not specifically horse or dog related. This is something that we've had on our list since we got rid of associations, but it just kept getting pushed further and further back, but now it's here!

Before we can officially launch it, though, we need to add some other clubs! So, help us come up with some ideas for clubs to add! (And some catchy names for them!)

I was thinking one for graphics and one for coding. What else?!

The chatterbox club 😂 for thebplayers that never leave chat Hahah

One for cooking!

One for crafts!

One for bullet journaling, because I love mine!

One for pets? maybe??

One for creative writing!

Just a few quick ideas :)

I'd have to think a little harder about some catchy names.

Maybe a "Stud Book" club? 

It's def in the "other" since doing one otherwise would be too breed specific, but could definitely be fun for potential contests and such.

I see some people have formed their clubs on player pages, like the Harry Potter one, and Breeder Almanac. Maybe they could get an official club page and host it there if they wanted? Don't want to speak for them, but it'd be easier to navigate to and get more visability maybe.

This one is far stretched and I've seen some other people have it on their pages, but a personality based club? For things like MBTI, Enneagram and such. Not sure if it even has enough interest here so again, just a loose suggestion.

A few Ideas I'd like to see for the 'Other' category:

Booked Up Club ~ A club for us bookworms who love to read! We could share current books we're reading, exchange wish lists, and can add writings in here with our favorite authors or story worlds. Readers Unite!

The Barnyard Club ~ name is fairly obvious to its intent, but a place for the HP riders and farmers to share their experiences, blogs or photos maybe? I think it'd be a nice hub for information from all of our experiences to everyone {or encourage those interested!}

Graphics, Coding & Writing - like was suggested prior - I would like to see as well. I think that'd be wonderful! I agree with Admiral and Siib that the Breeder's Almanac could be a great 'Other' Club or a Roleplaying club for the ones that are quite popular on here { i.e the Harry Potter}.

I like the "Pets" idea, as well as the "Graphics" and "Coding" clubs. And incorporating the Breeder's Almanac and Harry Potter clubs that are already on player pages would be nice but maybe it would be weird if the president changes month-to-month because Monnie put so much work into starting and running those. I don't think she should have to pay for votes to run the clubs she established (if it ever did turn into a voting war).

How about also a "Food/Fitness" club? I think many players are into RL dieting, recipes, cooking as well as exercising and whatnot.

Maybe something based on IRL age groups? I know we have some older adult members as well as some youngins so maybe that could be a good way for people close in age to connect?

Everyone also loves to talk about their IRL pets and horses too - maybe a pet-lovers club?

A book/movie club might be cool, especially if it took on a similar scheme as IRL book and movie circles to encourage viewing and discussion of particular titles each month?

I definitely like the graphics and coding clubs as ideas too! If I can think of any others that might have broad appeal I'll post them later.

I don't want to go against the excitement about this idea - but what's to stop it from becoming like the associations did? They did good in the beginning and then they slowed down dramatically.  Will the presidents stay the same or will they (& the page) reset every month? If they reset something like Potterbred and the Studbook are better left on the players pages.  Would you be able to register animals? Horse and dog or one or the other?

I want to get on board but I'm uncertain.  If it resets maybe just make it very generic clubs. Book worms, creative corner (crafts), gamers galaxy, coding, graphics, ect... 

Thanks for the ideas everyone! I think the breeders almanac should be left to the person who started it and while I like the idea of a book/movie club, a specific Harry Potter one is a little too specific ;).

Concourse, they are exactly like the clubs we have now except they can make shows for and register both species of animals. You can see the test club now on the clubs page.

I did check out the test one - but it says not to use so i didn't join to check it out firther. I guess I'll go do that now.  I'm actually getting knd of excited. 😍

Here's a horse club idea:

Halter/Conformation Club

I personally have a horse in real life that is a halter horse, now coming performance as well. Anyway, that made me think it'd be awesome to have a halter club for horses/users who prefer the halter lifestyle, since there is a performance club? Just my thoughts...I'd be all over that club. Thanks for hearing my suggestion!

Nobody should be surprised by my idea, maybe like a Movie Lovers club, somewhere movie fans can talk about their favorite movies and upcoming movies, and we can do brackets every year for HP's favorite movie?
