I just found this site, I played equintium and horseland years ago. Any tips on how everything works?

Hey :D Welcome to HP! If you enjoyed the old HL from years ago, chances are you'll like HorsePhenomena. We've been having a whole bunch of new stuff added recently--it's all very exciting, lol. 

As for basic gameplay I recommend buying a horse or dog of both genders and training them in shows until they are 20 for horses or 15 for dogs and then breeding them to get your second gen going. Since you have a trial upgrade, selling your tickets and private shows is a great way to earn some income. Our sitewide mascot contest is still going on so tickets and shows are selling at a higher rate than usual ;) I think it's around 200k for dog tickets; 350k for horse tickets; 6 mill per whole horse show or 500k per spot; 4 mill per whole dog show or 250k per spot (usually 10-12 spots per show for both horse and dog shows).

For pictures for your animals and a layout for your page I'd recommend visiting HP Helper (#40689) or Iktomi (#724). They have some awesome free resources for players on their pages. There's also the image bank, located on your animal's page, you can select an image from. Also, check out the Graphic Auctions to buy an image from another player.

Hi. I'm one of the ones with a ton of free stuff. We also have a layout generator that's based on my free codes and I'm also the one that wrote the creative commons guide for finding correctly licensed images to use on the site. 

My biggest piece of advice is just come in chat and ask questions! There's always somebody on that's willing to lend a hand.

Hiya and welcome! I played Equintium back in the day, too! Glad you found HP. :) I'd say just keep training your starter pair of ponies and feel free to ask any questions that crop up. (Cuz they will!) You can also read the FAQ & Help sections, but there's a lot of information there.  

One big tip: on Sundays, all horses age and their energy resets. That means Sunday is also the ideal time to buy horses from the store. e.g. If you buy a store horse on Thursday it will be 3 years old. On the coming Sunday, that horse will turn 4 and its energy will reset.
