Good Dog Food?

My puppy Vino (11 months) is eating Diamond brand large breed puppy food and I'm about to switch him over to adult food. I called the vet to see what they recommended because I think he has a sensitive stomach (about 2 months ago he had a week long vomiting case and ever since then he is very hesitant to eat his dog food--sometimes he skips a meal). They said Science Diet, Royal Canine, or a Purina should be good. I'm doing research on those brands now, but I was wondering if anyone on here knows of any quality dog food?

Scratch that. Apparently its only the trader joe's canned cat food. Everything else isn't that great.  Link Tree |

I'm a little bit crazy about what dog food I feed my dogs... My dogs eat Wellness Super5 Mix. I only feed my dogs natural grain-free food. I recently got a bag of Taste of the Wild that I'm going to try them on.Basically any food you can get at a grocery store is going to be bad for your dog. A lot of very popular brands that claim to be good for dogs are actually horrible. Purina, Beneful, Pedigree, Iams, Science Diet, Gravy Train, Eukanuba, Alpo and a ton more are horrible. I won't let my dogs touch anything that has any ingredient other than meat as the first ingredient. I've seen people spend big money on Iams and Purina One/Purina Pro Plan, and they're just feeding their dogs junk. i feed my dogs Pedigree. They are happy with it and have good stool. They are both large breed dogs and are active. I buy a 40 pound bag for $20 at walmart. I use to feed them purina but it started getting pricey since beneful came into the picture. We also feed them at times a BARF diet but its in the winter time. Their stomach can handle it and their personalities dont change. I have a pitbull and a wolf hybrid. The vet is happy with their weight and temperament. |
