so those of you who use windows knows how anoying the auto updates are, well while i was away out of town windows upated and now it wont run photoshop the same way it did before, i will be taking it to my tech guys on weds but ive already reset my system and still the ram all messed up.... im so sad lol as i was so excited to try and get some art going again lol

so im not entirly sure of whats it can and can't do in in all features but two features i do know are not working are the image size -upsizing- and saving for web.

i have found a way around both these issues but there annoying and long and tbh id forget and just use the short way, get a beep and then throw something -hopefully not the pc- 

ps was working just fine i even had use of all my 3d features -i bought this pc just to do that- so i know it has the power just not the brains anymore lol

oh and for those who may be curious this pc is not even 2 yet but it may be time to work my bootie off and get a new pc -yes pc as a mac of approiate screen size is way to expensive-

so thats my plan for the entire month of june im gonna work hard and long and hopefully by july have enough saved for a new pc cause tbh im not expecting tech guys to know why ps is not running the way it should either lol

but i wont let this affect my term as prez in the clubs just needed to vent my never ending frustration at winows and missing my G5 mac that died at the hands of my child 5 years ago lol

The last windows update cut my RAM in half and I thought I was going crazy. I am about to replace the RAM in my computer and look into buying the stuff to rebuild/upgrade (as we never buy PCs here, we custom build our gaming PCs). Photoshop has been extremely slow and laggy for the easiest task and I don't understand how it went from a speed demon gaming machine to this.

Oh yay I’m not alone lol it’s insane that this update screws the processing power of a pc were you able to get the issue fixed? Or did you end up replacing?

My problem is sort of related? After the last windows update (which took 1000000 years), my touch screen no longer works. With the help of Google and my boyfriend, we figured out that the driver for the touch screen is missing (how does that even happen??).

If you guys know how to get my touch screen back pleaseeee help me. My laptop also won't go into tablet mode any longer.

Yeah I don’t have a touch screen but there should be a driver download online just google the driver name at least that’s what I’ve done for missing/outdated driver on old pcs 

Thanks Aoi! I was super frustrated because I just use the touch screen when I don't have my wireless mouse. I had to retrain myself how to actually use the mousepad on my laptop lol

 I had a Chromebook & then switched to Mac when I got my new job so I can't help you, but side note I thought you meant like... windows on a house/car when I saw the title and that's how I ended up here. 

So sorry you're having trouble with your computer though!

I just did some updates on my work computer (windows machine) and all of my Adobe Creative Cloud apps started throwing weird bin errors when they ran fine before - I can still use them all, but I have to move the little error dialogue box out of the way (it won't close) to see the full screen. :P

 I love my mac :) I think the investment for mac is worth it. You do have to take care of the computer though, or it won't last.

And this is why I flipped every table in the house and reverted back to 7 after trying out 10.
You do not need to replace hardware because of software though! A new computer won't help you if you install the same buggy software on it, even if that software is your entire operating system.
You could always set up dual boot - a secondary OS to fall back on when 10 goes all derp?

I'm on Windows 10, and it's ok. 

A couple of weeks ago, I did an update but when I next went to use my laptop, I had to choose a language, then had to click something on another screen. When my desktop appeared, it was black and there were no icons other than the trashcan. I couldn't do anything with the lappy at all. So I had to use my mate's laptop to  download a fix from the official Windows site then install it onto my machine. Thankfully it only took around 3 or 4 hours to do and worked. All my stuff was restored.

My mate refuses to upgrade to 10. lol

windows 10 is so buggy and bad not at all what windows said it would be I WANT MY MAC BACK WAHHHH!!!!

I am NOT a fan of windows 10. Before this I was running a desktop that was at least 13 years old (some of you may have seen me complaining about that old thing in the past lol) - So I was beyond excited to get this one when we ordered it last year. I've never thought of myself as out o date with technology but I guess I am because finding my way around this one was not fun at first. I HATE THE UPDATES! I always push them off and when I accidentally hit install now I always yell at myself lol.None of this helps, but I feel your pain. I haven't tried to mess around with PS yet but I hope I don't have the same problem :(Good luck!!!

yes im looking at mac im seeing a few refurbished mac pro's 15'' with 8gb ram around what i was gonna pay for a new pc but im very cautious the when buying refurnished mac that there from a trusted source and have never been near water.

I have a Mac, a Windows, and a Linux. The Linux is awesome except for lack of updates. I am not a huge fan of the Mac. 

Really Concourse? I'd have expected updates to be a Linux strength being open source and all. It's still my plan B if I ever have to abandon Windows 7.

Ie never used linux its a rare system here in Australia 

UPDATE: my touch screen works again and I can resume a normal life lol

It took a long time for me to get used to windows 10. But luckily I haven't run into the problems you guys are having. Hopefully things speed up for you Aoi!
