hey all, I'm Ren (short for Lauren) i've gone by approximately a zillion names online across various online games, but usually i'm found playing as Oda, Alcatraz, or Atari, depending on the game and the mood i was in when i joined.

like 99% of everybody else here i'm an HL refugee- I started playing that probably around '99 or 2000 and stayed until things started getting weird at which point i bugged out and moved on to other games.
fun fact- i've played several dozen horse games over the years, including some of the ones that are pretty much lost to history now, like ludus equinus, spiffy horse, and down under horse stables. 

over the last few years I haven't had much time for online games- i got stuck in a job that took a lot out of me and didn't give much back, and then became a primary caregiver for a relative this year, but things are settling down again, and i realized how much i miss horse games. HP was the first one i remembered (and thankfully my accounts still work, even though it's been at least 4 years since i logged in)

and so i'm back. still figuring out what to do but i'm playing around with shagyas and gypsy vanners now, as well as some unicorns i picked up from the HA (*runs to check* is that what it's called here or is that HL sneaking in??) hah, yes, score. HA works.
anyways, i digress- I do that often. i'm also working on getting back into making graphics now that i have a snazzy computer that actually works well for making them.

tl;dr - i'm ren, i'm just coming back after a long time away from HP, and i'm probably too old to be playing online horse games but frankly that's never stopped me before :D

...and yes, in case you were wondering, tumblr has done terrible things to my typing. :P

thanks you guys! and yeah, i'm so glad this site is still around. i hung around chat for a while earlier and it's still delightfully zany, so all is well :D i'm hoping i can make it to bingo tomorrow, i made plans with a friend for the morning, but we'll probably be hanging out in starbucks for a while anyway so tentatively yes bingo tomorrow haha.

I do not remember us ever properly meeting though as I'm pretty shy. But I've opened up a lot over the years and would love to meet you! :)

Thanks Eir! No I don't think you're crazy, I remember you too, I was just a bit of a hermit my first go round on here, though I feel like I might've seen you on HL too, I popped in and out to keep up with friends for some years after I stopped playing it in earnest.

And slowly I'm working on my reclusiveness/shyness, but it's a work in progress haha. Nice to meet you properly this time =)

That must be it, I played HL back in '09 - '11 and I definitely remember a Ren/Lauren along with DA, and I THINK I met someone like that here in 2013 ( but years fly and so does memory lol). But its nice to finally meet you properly! :)

and yes I do remember you gothika, i always wanted to get into SEAs also but i was a little intimidated so i stuck with shagyas lol :D i do remember seeing your lines on HL as well as on here. i love how HP took the good things about HL and a lot of other games and then grew them into something way better, i think it's why i always end up coming back.

i sometimes used running free stables back in my HL days so i guess that's one other name people might remember. i finally decided i had to pick a name and stick with it haha.

Well I must say I was quit the hoarder back then too though lol.
I always find my way back here since HL has died.  I love this game.
