Red Dead Redemption II.

I am still obsessed with RDR1 but mostly just online multiplayer because it's wicked fun to join a posse and do stuff. Not to mention there's this one guy on my PSN list that is SUPER fun to play online with. He always has his mic on and he's super sweet so I like to crank up the PS3 if I see him online playing RDR.

But I am OBSESSED with RDR2 omg. I'm sure all you who have me on fb are sick of my RDR status updates by now lol.
I am almost 2 weeks late to the party because I didn't have a PS4 yet but I FINALLY GOT ONE WITH THE GAME WITH IT AND IT'S SO MUCH FUN. There is SO much to do. The interactions are amazing.

The horses are amazing! I am yet to break the white Arabian but I have a buckskin American Standardbred (Adelia) and she's awesome. I'm really attached to this horse lol. I also have a palomino Standardbred (Athena) that I got before the buckskin, but she is basically a pack horse now that I take with me when I go hunting. She is a bit faster than Adelia who hasn't reached her full potential yet, so sometimes I take her out bareback to rope a deer.

I am still getting used to the fact that they don't automatically dodge trees and buildings and any other stationary objects like they do in RDR1 lol. Also other people don't move out of the way like they do in RDR1 and i've had many head-on collisions because I forget.

I am in Chapter 3 right now and just finished the bank mission.

TELL ME YOUR RDR2 EXPERIENCES SO FAR!!

@ Ade - Both systems give playability, but there is a noticeable difference in their quality. The Xbox One will give you the very best experience out of Red Dead II. It's like playing straight out of a cinematic western on your T.V. The Playstation 4 - which my boyfriend Zach plays RDR II on - also can support the system. But the quality is significantly lower, and there can be lagging in heavily populated areas or freeze (we have been lucky in that regard to not have this).

A typical run-down I've seen is:

XBOX ONE X:

* Runs at 4K Graphics

* Compliments 4K graphics with High Resolution

* Runs game at 30FPS (Locked)

PS4:

* Runs at 1080p

* Runs at a slightly lower resolution, but still compliments the game

* Runs about 28FPS (slightly worse, but BOTH consoles in heavily densed areas can lag down to 20FPS. However, with the One X this dip is a minor notice compared to PS4 which is very noticeable.)

(ALL articles say do not go with Xbox One S because the quality is grainy and performance is terrible)

However, I do want to warn you, IF you plan on streaming that game at all, you may want to lean more the Xbox One. It could just be me or Zach's internet connection, but we have had a few hiccups where we'd severely lag in streaming or the stream would die out. And he would have to reset everything. If you're just playing on your own, however, Zach has said there's been no problems with the game. It still runs beautifully, but it's not as fancy as the XBox One. I'm not saying its the "make all or break all" of consoles per say, but it does truly depends on your preferences and what you want out of the game. Personally, Zach and I are very happy with our PS4 and still find the game incredibly beautiful and immersive without the XBox One.

I finished it last night. I still have a TON to do to reach 100% completion so i'm still gonna be a long while playing, but i've finished the story and epilogue. I've had it for a week and a half.

I really like where it goes after the main story finishes but it's something I was really hoping they would incorporate anyway so yeah.

There's something I should have done in chapter 6 that would have made the ending much more emotional for me but it's okay. I'll do it in the next playthrough (I have no doubt there will be many lol)

I really like my new horse. He's big, he's an excellent jumper, and he doesn't throw a bucking tantrum if there's a threat nearby. He's a lot like adelia except she was hopeless at jumping things haha. The only time she ever threw me was when she was literally being attacked by a wolf lol. Sway tends to bolt if a strong threat is near but i'd rather him bolt than buck. I haven't bonded with him fully yet so he hasn't reached his speed/stamina/acceleration potentials yet so that's exciting.

Tip: ALWAYS carry horse reviver with you. Even just one. When I started epilogue I got attacked by a gang and they shot my horse. I didn't have any horse reviver so I had to put her down or let her suffer until she died. It was really heartbreaking.

Edit: Also I really only got a PS4 because PS FOREVER lmao. I'm not an xbox person :P
And yes I bought my PS4 purely for this game xD I actually got mine with the game included as a bundle.

ME & ZACH'S RDR ADVENTURE: PART II

Zach is on Thanksgiving break and we felt that we needed to binge on some RDR II! We had a ton happen to us since I last updated so I'll give everyone a quick rundown of what we've accomplished thus far:

I. Patch is no longer with us :( We got jumped by the Leymone Raiders and then the O'Driscalls almost the exact same time. Since we already used our last reviver after the Raiders, we didn't have any left for the second ambush. So we had no choice but to put him down fully, which was pretty sad. But, only a few feet away, we got another horse! A wild, dapple grey Thoroughbred mare with excellent stats who we now own and call Luna. Next to Comet, she is seriously our favorite horse by far. So now we have: Comet, Oriana, Eclipse, and Luna as our 4. We also had a temporary Hungarian-Halfbred mare we tamed (also had nice stats) that we named Pleiades, but sadly she was not with us very long. During a rescue, we took in an abandoned horse after its owner died and Pleia ran away. She is now a wild mare again and we sold the rescued horse just leaving our 4 mares. We do miss our little Pleia, but we just didn't have the room for her.

II. We BULK upgraded camp to the maximum! We have the Overlook camp practically in luxury. Now, we are attaining the various satchels and camp upgrades that Pearson can craft. We got Pronghorn table covers, the snake skin banjo, and a few skulls. We've also managed to acquire a few pelts and are close to getting a new satchel.

III. We started doing the legendary animal hunts! We have just now gotten the coyote and the boar on our list. We're now currently pursuing the legendary deer buck. Sadly, we do not have our fishing rods just yet (still need to go through more of the story) so we cannot do the fish. We plan on getting this soon though.

We have also done minor stuff in that time such as rescuing NPC's, acquiring new clothes, upgrading/personalizing our weaponry, opened up the Fences throughout the map and paying off bounties. We've also been exploring the map as well to open it up, which we still have a lot of traveling left to do. But we're getting there!

I really only have the challenges, legendary hunts and stranger missions to do now so i'm trying to take my time with it a bit. Slowly working toward 100% completion.

I went exploring in New Austin last night. I had checked out most of West Elizabeth a few days ago and it's so weird. I haven't been up toward Nekoti Rock and Cochinay yet so I might do that tonight.
It's the same but so different lol. You can't get into Mexico, it's not officially part of the game this time but if you really want to you can glitch yourself over the border. I don't plan to though, I really didn't enjoy Mexico much in the first game so i'm not bothered at all by the fact that they didn't inlcude it this time. Plus there's SO much to explore over the Dakota River that you really don't miss Mexico anyway.

I found a pretty Hungarian Halfbred mare last night in Rio Bravo. I didn't really want another horse but she's a flaxen chestnut which looks close enough to palomino to make me go "ooooooh". Her stats aren't that great but she's nice to look at lol.

I think i'll keep Sway for as long as possible. I always stay stocked up on horse reviver now and I make sure to do a manual save every so often that I can load if for some reason he dies and I can't get him back lmao. He is also a dapple grey TB that I caught and broke. I really like him ♥

My boyfriend recently bought a ps4pro, and he plays way more than I do. I suck with the controls lol but anyway, when I see my boyfriend playing the game I thoroughly enjoy every part of it. Especially the graphics on the horses and stuff. He named his first horse nugget, and now he has a big black horse named invincible (ahum world of warcraft)

I have neither but I plan on buying a PS4 lol

Honestly, at first I didn't think I'd play. I tend to just watch Tatu, sometimes that's entertaining enough. It's hilarious when he's not watching where he's going and then he and his horse (Bony) are flying in different directions. Anyway, I just had to try it for myself and I love it. I'm seriously about to go play, after I play a few forum games xD

This is kinda me though:

I can have so much fun just hunting for animals lol. I've broken a few horses, but I ended up selling all but the flaxen chestnut Hungarian Halfbred (Thunder) and I'm working on getting it to full bonding, like my Ardennes (Tank).

The train heists are my fave, I think. xD

Have you done the bar mission with Lenny yet? If not, let me know when you do. It's so freaking funny lol.

My favourite train robbery ("there's always a goddang train!!") is later on with the oil cart. Favourite by far.

When I first started RDR2 I wasn't 100% sold on Arthur. But he reeeeeally grew on me lmao!

I was running from bounty hunters tonight and their gunshots spooked Sway and he bolted with me, so I just let him run where he wanted to and he ran right into a huge patch of big trees and I was like "fml great we're gonna smash into one of these and ima get shot" but he dodged them all like a pro and even jumped over a huge log without prompt. What a good boy xD

Of course I did the bar mission xD And if there's only one oil cart robbery, then I've done that, too. What an amazing game. ♥

Also I was super sick today so I pretty much spent the day on the couch. I spent several hours playing RDR1 online multiplayer with my favourite PSN dude. He helped me with a couple of journal challenges and also helped me get one of my golden guns.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR RDR2 ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. I can only imagine what it's gonna be like.

My boyfriend finished the main storyline the other night and was super pleased overall with the story. Now that he's not hogging the Xbox I'll have to get into playing it myself! (Though Let's Go! Eevee is calling my name... so cute...)

I gave my PS4 to a friend for a few weeks so he can play through rdr2. He's almost as obsessed with it as I am and he's accidentally stumbled across so many spoilers it's not even funny lol. Even I have a hard time talking to him about it without spoiling it lmao. He's halfway through chapter 2 so far.

I am SO angry with my PS3. It had some kind of spasm yesterday and somehow deleted my user accounts. ALL of my RDR stuff is gone. All my trophies, all of my game save data, everything. So I am literally back at square one. All of my 100% completion data is gone so I have to do it all again if I want it back. And all of my online multiplayer data is gone so I am back at level 1 in multiplayer too which enrages me because (if anyone understands any of this) yesterday I made it to level 50 and passed into legend. I already got to level 16 I think as legend. Ugh.

So I created a new PSN because I didn't love the one I had and sent requests to my favourites (if anyone wants to add me on PSN its ashbee--) and gabriel is gonna help me get leveled up fairly quickly.

I am also gonna do a PS3 backup regularly now (i'd never done it before at all) because if this happens again i'll toss it at a wall.

So I've bought all the camp upgrades, even the horse station. I left my original horse, the war horse/Ardennes there (her name is Tank), and took this other horse I tamed for riding so I could bond with it. I went up near Lake Isabella, looking for the white Arabian and bison, found neither. Technically, I spent a few days up there. On my way back, I tamed another horse and rode it back to the stables in Valentine and sold it. Bought the brindle TB because I could, then went back to camp and found that Tank was gone. I tried cycling through the horse station, she's not there, nor does she appear on the map. WHERE IS MY HORSE????????

Unfortunately it appears to only let you have two active horses; your main horse and your temporary horse.
Once you choose a new main horse, your previous horse becomes your temporary horse and any previous horses to that seem to just disappear.

I discovered this myself literally thursday night when I had this grand plan of having all 3 of my Thoroughbreds in one spot. I had Sway, then I broke a blood bay TB stallion and bought a brindle TB mare from Strawberry stable. I switched to Sway to ride home because he's my boy. Got home and turned him out with my other TB stallion (who is yet to be named) and rode a random Morgan into Blackwater stable, switched it out for Xena (the brindle TB mare) and rode her home, to find my blood bay TB boy disappeared and Sway as my temp.

It looks like it cycles out your horses. Which sucks A LOT. It also explains why the big black Draft mare disappeared from camp after I bought a new horse and Adelia became my temp for a short time.

I stabled the Kentucky Saddler that I broke, as well as my TB, so I can re-work on Tank getting up to full stats again. I think that could work, but actually I think I'll go sell the Saddler...

Guys.... I officially own RDR2! I was playing on my boyfriend's nephew's account as a test run before getting it.

My boyfriend bought it for me for my birthday! :D

I haven't actually put it on my account yet because I know it will eat all of my spare time and I neeeeeeeeeeeed to catch up on some homework/housework/work work lol

I almost started playing now, but since I'll be working evenings for my first week of work, I'm letting Tatu play now. He made me laugh so hard before, he had to throw Molotovs to burn tobacco fields and one hit a fence. He was right next to it, so he burst into flame. He crashes while riding a lot, too. He's reckless, always going as fast as possible. For some reason, he didn't know R1 was the brakes until I told him. I think he forgot, but anyway. It's funny. xD
