One of the next big things I want to do with HP is totally re-vamp the club and association system so that it offers more to the game and is more popular.

I also want clubs versus associations to have distinct features from each other and serve different purposes on the game.

So I thought I would post and see who has some suggestions on things they might like to see/think will work :).

I think there should only be so many associations allowed on the so that it helps control in the inactivity. For example say the max is 50 associations and when all of the inactive ones are wiped out it opens up 3 spots so that only 3 new ones could be accepted based on how popular an idea it was in forums?

I don't know if that would necessarily help. Associations aren't something that everyone will join all of them, since only specific ones will be relevant to certain people. I think that being extra vigilant with getting rid of inactive ones is probably the best bet. :/

Or maybe when new ones are excepted they have a week long probation and if they meet all requirements then it's officially excepted or taken off?

associations are something tangible that players are allowed to own and keep up with, and in my opinion help bring players together through things they have in common, whether it strictly pertains to the HP world or to the RL world.

that way there are a diverse amount of owners, where on clubs sometimes a monopoly forms on who runs how many clubs each term.whereas associations give players with good ideas a chance to run things when they might not otherwise have that opportunity.

There should be "like" buttons on theses posts, like on facebook haha.Lots of neat ideasI like the idea of selective membership, association of the month, event history, and the tickets---that would be a great way to get money for contests. Also, maybe, at the start of every month, give every club some money ($50mil?) so that people can run them without going bankrupt. I know I take over a lot of clubs that no one else runs in, and I would LOVE to have better prizes instead of dinky $500k-5mil, but I just cant do that when I run so many (and as I said, I run so many because no one else runs in them; and I do like running them and at least having a nice layout up and keeping up with registry). So yeah...money for clubs?and Memoria--I agree. I often go to associations for specific things, such as BDA for a list of dog breeders, Pyramid Society to advertise when I had SEAs for sale, etc. Associations are a great way to get players with similar interests together :)

Thanks famous,I rrreally like your idea about club and assoc. money. There should be a rule that owners can't send money to their own account so that no one steals the moolah

I don't think anyone steals money from the clubs, most of the time there is no money in them to begin with. The players that runs the club/assoc tends to be the one to put money in there.I would hate it if there was a rule that you couldn't send money from the clubs/association to your personal account. Only because I normally donate a few hundred million into a club/assoc at the start of the month and if it's a club then at the end of the month I send it back to myself if there is more than 10mil left.Plus it would be impossible to stop people sending the money back to their accounts anyway, they will just send it to a spare and then to their main.

I didn't take the time to read all the comments to know if this was mentioned, but I believe a HUGE HUGE HUGE plus for club presidents would be the ability to see the amount of points a potential registered animal has. When the club prezi is in the Approval/Rejection screen going over the animal registrations, I find it incredibly daunting to check every single page of every single animal that comes through the registry. This is an issue for clubs who have a point requirement to be accepted.I would find it incredibly helpful to be able to see their points on the "decision" page without having to move to their page, scroll down, locate their points, move back to the decision page, pass judgement, then repeat the process several dozen more times.

I agree, Adrestia, and that was on the list that Sam showed me, so when the update goes through, it should happen. :D/celebration

I think in addition to showing the number of points on the accept page, it should also show the age, since usually any club/association with a point requirement has a corresponding age for those points. =)

This is just little, but how about moving the 'register a horse' section to the top of a page. I always have to go through entering my horses to different clubs and associations, and depending on how much a person writes on the layout it takes forever to scroll up and down to enter 20 different horses. If there was a 'register all' feature or we just simply moved the 'register a horse' to the top, then it would cut down on the amount of time and annoyingness there is to entering horses in clubs and assocations. As for all of these other ideas, i think its great! I have run the Jockey Club (Assocation, haha) for maybe over a year now? And it has been great, but it is hard to fund and keep active! I am doing a layout contest now and revamping everything, but including some of these ideas everyone else said would be fantastic!Do we have a projected date for the revamp yet?
