For me, my son always makes me smile! Right now he has a toy pig and a toy dog, and according to him, they are BEST friends. He's making them clap and dance. Earlier, my son, who so far has shown no interest in potty training, climbed up and sat on the toilet (okay, the toilet lid, and he was fully dressed) for about 30 seconds, then said "okay, time to wipe!" and had me use toilet paper (again, keep in mind, he has pants on), then I had to hand it to him, he threw it in the toilet and flushed (apparently we're close to potty training. fingers crossed). Every day, he makes me smile and laugh. Definitely glad to be stuck in quarantine with the little bugger.

Whilst I just qualified as a nurse... i haven't actually started yet. Recruitment are slow & I need another vaccine from occupational health on the 12th May (lonnnggg!) before I can actually start.

But today, I received my uniforms for my new job post. My god, three years of studying and to see me in my uniform made me go all giddy and I cant stop smiling. So much so, its been about an hour later and I'm still wearing it baha xD

Kitler isn't usually a snuggle bug like that and Fred hanging over top...just cracks me up to see them sitting like that anyway because if I had been there they would've been excited for attention from me and not just sitting alone haha.

It's early, but I already have something for today. 

This morning I woke up to a letter from a new virtual penpal via an app I signed up for. I have always loved getting mail and meeting new people. However, I don't really feel like I have the time to sit and write actual letters very often so I feel bad looking for a snail mail one. This app means that it's always close at hand and it's really cool because it actually takes so long to deliver the letter based on how far apart you guys are from each other so you actually do get a bit of anticipation from waiting! Not to mention you get, unlock, and can buy various stamps for your letters.

My wife and dogs usually make me smile daily. But, today, already at 8:45a this morning, my wife has made me laugh because she accidentally locked one of our dogs outside in the backyard. (He was out there for literally only 2 minutes and he was sunbathing, so he is perfectly fine!) But of course I had to tease her about being a bad mom because she left one of my sons outside!!! So we had a fun little laugh, gave him lots of love to remind him that we love him still, and on with our days we went!

Ok, so Jaya kind of stole mine but I'm sharing anyways because they're different kids. We've been working on potty training for awhile. He loves sitting on the toilet and wiping himself with the toilet paper. He's very independent with everything!

The only thing that really makes me smile every day at the point in time is my 2 year old son. Everything else about this whole quarantine thing and being stuck at home 24/7, not seeing family and friends ever just stresses me out. But I finally got to be a stay home mom starting in December (which I wanted to do since I was pregnant with him). Love it by the way!

But anyways, we brought his dinosaurs out into the sandbox today for the first time (first day we were able to get outside this week). He loves the outdoors! I started making the dinosaurs talk and bury themselves in the sand and my son loved it! Grinning from ear to ear as he pulled them out and started burying them too. Every time I see him smile whether it's because of something I did or not, no matter the mood I'm in, it's contagious.

So for the past couple of months I've been on the job hunt, which is the absolute worst. Up to this point I've been freelancing, but I wanted something more secure (with benefits lol). I've been doing work for this one client for a long while now and really enjoy it, plus they always have tasks for me to do so I get a lot of my hours through them. Last week I decided, screw it, I'm just going to ask for a full-time job. This morning I found out I got it!! This boi is salaried with health insurance. Huzzah!

I woke up this morning to my boyfriend getting the dogs gathered up to go outside. He's been so kind and helpful being stuck with me through all the COVID-19 stuff. It just makes me smile that he tries so hard to make my life just a little easier, even if it's super tiny stuff. He's never lived outside of his childhood home so not seeing his parents has been making him really sad at times. We are trying our best to work through this together.

All my classmates complaining via groupme during class. Even with everything that's going on, we've all maintained our sense of humor :)

When I woke up this morning, the day was looking super overcast.  But!  I remember that my fiance's mother had baked us some amazing Filipino treats.  I had one with my morning coffee and it made me super happy.  Not that dessert for breakfast is a good habit, but when in quarantine.... :)

most days when I log on to HP I head straight to the Hollywood chat room to see what Lady S has left in the way of cute pictures or memes, she usually leaves alot of them and they all make me smile and some times they make a really bad day better so my thanks to Lady S for all she does to make me smile :)  PS: everyone should check it out

Something that made me smile today was my lovely neighbor.  She's older and every few days she'll stop by to pick up some hay for her goats.  Today she came early and left a little note for me in the barn just checking in and thanking me for the hay, saves her from having to get a ton and store it.  She also left a jar of homemade jam from last season.  She's the sweetest neighbor!

Today I smiled because I went into the school building to pass out lunches to some of my students. It made me smile because I got to see some faces I haven't seen since the middle of March. It also made my smile because some of these students, who don't even know where there next meal is coming from, made sure to ask how I was doing and if they could help me at all. Sometimes they make me want to pull my hair out but they can be so sweet!

I tagged a long on a dog walk with Piper and her sister Cali (and my dad and Cali's owner) in the forest today. It was nice to be out in nature, watching the dogs wrestle and chase each other. We also found a random buddha statue in the middle of the forest, so that was pretty cool (and weird...no joke I worried that walking off the path to check it out we'd find a dead body or something LOL).

I spent time with my ponies today and groomed them. A ton of hair came off of Tilly and it was windy so I ended up with white hair in my mouth and in my eyes.  I used my hand to scratch behind her ear and she tilted her head like a dog does.  Then I gave them some carrots and threw Fidley's for her - she watches where they fall and trots after them eagerly.  They never fail to make me smile when I'm in the field with them.

My daughter who is in a horrible teething phase, was rolling around on the bed today. She found a silky pillow and began to head butt the pillow repeatedly. She ended up doing it so many times she burst into giggles. She's now crying again. We take the small things as we can get them.
