My dad is the best day I could have asked for. Although growing up my parents were divorced and he worked up North so I didn't see much of him. There was a lot of problems regarding their divorce and my mom kept all of us kids from him for selfish reasons. It wasn't until I was around 16 that I really became close with my dad and now he's my best friend. He would do absolutely anything for me and I know that. He accepted my husband with open arms, he tells me he's proud of me, he's always there for me to talk to or vent to, he loves us so much and I really don't know what I'd do without him.

My Dad is superman! He just built a little barn for my horse, my sister's horse, and his girlfriend's horse to live in up at his house. It couldn't have come at a better time either! I was starting to have issues with the barn owners where I was boarding. They were doing things to her without checking with me beforehand and then charging me for it. So my Dad and his girlfriend had a month off from work during the COVID quarantine and got it built along with the fencing. It was a lot of work too because the ground is literally all ledge rocks. Granted, there's so more to do on top of all his other endless list of unfinished projects. But it's done enough for the horses to live there. They've been up there since the end of April and loving it! My Dad and his girlfriend started working on the round pen setup last night. But hes still going yo be building a big barn for hay storage and a tack room. Right now, All our tack and brushes, etc and the hay are in his girlfriends horse trailer.

My husband is a pretty amazing father to our son too. He works like a dog so I can be a stay home Mom like I wanted when I was pregnant with him. And our son seems happier now that he gets to stay home with Mommy all day now too even though he's always been a happy baby. My father told my mother that she could be a stay home mom when I was growing up too but she didn't want that.

I have mixed feelings about my dad, so Father's Day is not really a day to which I look forward. I do have good memories with him and sometimes they make up for the not-so pleasant ones. Such memories as: buying donuts and chocolate milk and fishing on our lake on early Saturday mornings; him making waffles in the morning on Saturdays and using a high pitched voice to talk like the Mrs. Butterworth syrup bottle; drawing with my brother in the front room; coffee and scone dates with him and picture-worthy Banagrams games; helping me survive in Monopoly against the "money-bags shark" that is my sister; catching me off the diving board in the deep end at a variety of pools, and others. I am learning to be grateful for my dad and accept him with all his faults as is. But it's a learning process and one that I am still journeying.

My dad is THE BEST dad. Hes always been there to support me and my siblings, and even our friends when they need help, an honourary Dad, help moving, etc. He goes above and beyond for all of us. His entire career he hated his job, but knew he had to stick with it to support his family, instead of going to school to be a teacher like he always wanted to (He's the 4th of 6 kids, so college/uni wasn't an option). He's my go-to person if I have a question, need to know how to do something, etc. He's the master of cleaning bathrooms, dog walks, crossword puzzles, ironing, is "The King of Find", and knows a little bit about a lot of things.

I also get my love of reading from him!

He's also called nessa the third daughter he never asked for LOL. #truestory

I am going to stay I don't have the relationship with my stepdad now, but he raised me like his own from the time I was six months and did so well I didn't realize I wasn't his until I was 13 and he told me!

But I am going to take this moment to talk about my Papa, who passed away in 2003 (when I was 13). Even though he has been gone 17 years now - this man is still one of my role models to this day. He is the one that always supported me and helped encourage my love of reading (my first book by Stephen King was Cujo and I was hooked!). I miss him so much every day and today is his birthday so I've been trying to stay busy and preoccupied today.

My cat is also a great 'dad' to the feral fosters we are currently taming. He has helped them get a lot more comfortable around us and I adore him. He is neutered so he will never be a 'dad' himself.

My husband is such a good dad. I lucked out with him - I never have to worry about my kids going through anything that I have gone through in my life.

I love reading all these, guys!! ;_; dads are the best!!

My dad is such a hard worker as a farmer and works from sunup to sometimes way after sundown to support his family in the continual up-and-down of farming economy. He's not the mushy sort but I definitely know as the only daughter I can get him to do things for me/the rest of my family that no one else can get him to do unless I'm the one who asks. xD (Even my mom will sic me on him for things sometimes haha). He lets me keep my kitties in his new barn that he specifically built new for his cows because otherwise the roaming coyotes and eagles would get them and is a perfect fur grand-dad to my husky, Kaya who still lives at home on the farm with them too. ;P

You guys have some amazing Dads out there!
I wish I could say the same about my own, but there's not even a name on my birth certificate to say who he is or was. I've asked family and they honestly have no clue either. Sometimes life happens that way I guess. I would love to just have a name or a picture just to say that's my dad. So I have a lot of mixed emotions when it comes around to being Father's Day. Now my Father-In Law who I'm getting to know is patient, kind, and seems to always know what to say about whatever situation might be going on. He's got a cheezy sense of humor and now I know where my husband got that from, haha. So I'm seeing bits and pieces of what a dad is, if that makes any sense. xD

My father is a great man, committed to my mother still after 23 years of marriage. He always makes it clear that he will provide me with whatever I need. I am blessed to have a dad like him! I grew up the only girl of 3 brothers, he taught me how to be strong mentally and physically. He spoiled me, but also taught me the meaning of hard work. I always tell him "thanks for teaching me how to be a man even though I'm a girl" and even bought him a coffee mug last year that said it :D

My daughters father is great as well, he will go above and beyond for our little girl and treats her like a queen. I couldn't have asked for a better father to our baby and boyfriend. I am truly lucky (:

My brother. He is an awesome dad to his daughter and i know he will be to his newest baby girl! My brother is a year yonger but even when we were kids he had the protective air a dad should have and I have to say my uncle was a real good father figure. to us growing up and i think that helped make my brother a cool dad! My brother actually built in the house a huge playhouse out of wood so the kids (his daughter and his. wifes younger sisters) have a place to play no matter the weather! Plus he's a cop and works hard protecting everyone!

my boyfriend: he may not be the father of my child but he cares about her deeply and has taken to the roll naturally. He's patient and kind and understanding. He knows how to talk to her when she is down and is great at cheering her up. He's just an amazing human being and a great 'bonus' Dad.

My best friend's dad growing up raised 3 girls alone after his wife died. All three were teenagers at the same time! 0.O
