2. My mom makes some good deserts....like a dark chocolate trifle. Trifle has cake layers, and my mom uses dark chocolate cake layers and dark chocolate flakes/pieces. It's sooo good. he makes it all from scratch (except cool whip which she uses in the layers)

1. My favorite chocoalte candy bar... Gotta be a plain Hershey's milk chocolate bar! Maybe boring but I love the way it melts in your mouth. A close second would be Almond Joy!

2. My favorite chocolate dessert is a cake I've been making my entire life, called Wacky Cake. Its really basic but amazingly delicious in both cake and cupcake form. I know the recipe by heart at this point. 

3. The most unexpected item that I love to have chocolate on... Not super unexpected but sometimes I mix some chocolate syrup into my drip coffee. xD

4. My favorite recipe that includes chocolate would be the Wacky Cake recipe mentioned above, so here it is:

Wacky Cake

3 cups flour

2 cups sugar

6 T. cocoa powder

2 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

2 cups cold water

3/4 cup oil (I use vegetable or canola oil)

2 T. white vinegar

2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine dry ingredients, then add wet ingredients and mix well. Pour batter into a greased 9x13" pan and bake for 30-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean. Cool completely, then finish with your choice of frosting.

This batter also makes great cupcakes, but I don't have solid guidelines for this as I get different baking times in different ovens. Fill greased or lined cupcake tins 3/4 full. Bake cupcakes at 350 degrees for 15-25 minutes, using your best judgement and a toothpick. Remove cupcakes from pan and place on cooling rack. Once cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar or finish with your choice of frosting. Makes around 24 cupcakes. 

This recipe is also vegan!

5. Typically I prefer milk chocolate. However, dark chocolate has really been growing on me recently! I think as I get older my palette is changing - I prefer more savory flavors than I used to.
