Hello Everyone!

I have not been on here in a while, it is nice seeing some fimilar names still around. I am wondering where people typically get their stock images from? I was using deviantart but I hate how they have changed the search bar, it's terrible.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

for specific horses... unfortunately deviantart is still in my mind the best bet. 

Though I use pexels, pixabay, and unsplash almost exclusively for backgrounds now. But it seems that you can find more generalized horse pictures there- just not as likely to find a "bay sabino" or things like grulla, dun, champagnes, etc. as it's more listed just under "horse" or "equine". 

How does one "search" on dA? I'm such a noob on that site that I don't feel I utilize it enough...

DA is my favorite. But I do use flickr quite often too.

Definitely DeviantART for horse stock!! It's easiest (for me) to always check if my favorite stock providers have what I'm looking for, then I move to the big Deviantart groups! Typically I use Horse Stock Heaven if I only need a specific color, Equine Breeds-Stock if I need a certain breed, and Equine-Resource if I need a certain pose! 

The search has become kinda pointless (for me, anyway) since it shows maybe 10 stock images and then actual art pieces. Doesn't give you too much to pick from! 

I've been loving Pixabay and Unsplash lately for background images, though! Such high quality and no need to worry about stock provider rules. 

I use mostly Deviantart, Flickr and Unsplash.  I've also tried dreamstime as well, but don't use it as much as the rest.

Yeah as far as deviantart search, I would look for stock groups that you can join. It's going to be the easiest and fastest way to find stock on DeviantArt right now. The search is so painful now. I miss the tiered way where you could search stock images only.
