ARE YOU READY FOR THIS?

And here we have it, week four of this epic Mascot Contest, and we have reached the halfway point! Now its time to really knuckle down and get as many points as we can under our belts. Amph and I have been busy training, but I hear that she’s been sneaking in a couple of private ones, and I am not allowed, that’s not very fair!  

Rosa and City made a cracking good effort at the Guess the Breed contest run by Nurse Pants, and managed to score a whopping 12k to add to my points total. And while we didn’t enter any official mascot competitions this week, The Hot Bunch have been working hard on THTH’s Ninja Warrior, which is heading into its last few final tasks. Next week I will announce the lucky winners in the weekly roundup, so good luck!

I have it on good authority that The Hot Bunch have something even more amazing and spectacular up their sleeves which will be announced later this week so make sure you are watching this space! Trust me, you don’t wanna miss out on a chance to enter this one!

This weeks shout out goes to Fidleywood Emocion, another fantastic New Forest Pony owned and trained by our good friend Tifisati, in the horse tixs and shows section of the competition. This week he got a makeover with a gorgeous water colour pic, featuring Tifi’s real life pony Fidley!

Our next shout out goes to Choco, a gorgeous chocolate lab, owned and trained by Nekeneke and Adeina in the no tixs no shows category. Just look at that gorgeous picture of Nekeneke’s old dog, I bet he was a good boy. Choco is coming up behind me quick and fast, no doubt I will have to keep my eye on him!

In the horse, no tixs or shows category, is the gorgeous Outlander, a Friesian mare owned and trained AlliX. I absolutely love her picture, created by the talented Arduous, it has a very Viking, old history feel to it, in fact I must check out her backstory, I bet she has a few tales to tell!

Task 7:

5 years ago me and my husband went camping towards the end of March with some friends. I'm already not a fan of camping, too many bugs, the ground is cold and hard. Just nope! Well it started snowing and I was freezing and I drove home for warmth in the middle of the night. (we already live in the mountains, why do we need to camp 10min from our house?! xD) I sucked it up and came back the next day (with about 100 more blankets in tow). That afternoon we had a nice fire pit going, the air was crisp. Hubby said since I left, I had dinner duty. Well, I'm not a huge cook to begin with but I gotta say, that evening I managed to make the BEST grilled chicken breast of my life on an open fire pit. I'm telling you, I will never forget the taste and the juiciness of the chicken! I brined it before I put it to cook, holy moly that makes all the difference in the world! Who knew, ardy can actually cook over a rustic campfire ^_^ The only thing I enjoy about camping are the warm fires and good food c:

Welcome to week five of the mascot contest, we are on the homeward stretch now team! This week The Hot Bunch have been kicking butt and taking names in the bonus rounds. The costume contest is closing this week, and you will find me wearing a very dashing fireman’s costume , even if I do say so myself. City competed in Mangos Epic Quest, helping to create the city of Valentris, for some bonus points, and The Hot Bunch competed in the Easter Egg hunt.
Also launched this week was THTH’s Epic Animal Hunt, and because its Easter I am going to drop another little clue to help you all out. All of them are fire/hot related! But shhhhh don’t tell The Hot Bunch I gave you a hint!

This week's first shout out goes to Trixie, another amazing boxer owned and trained by Timebomb, in the dog tixs and shows category. With an awesome pedigree behind her, and an epic picture made by the very talented Amberellie, this is one scorching hot dog! I can’t wait to see how far she goes.
 
A very special shout out to Frank Jr, trained by the amazing and talented trio Panthera, Ephemira and Saturnia! These fabulous ladies are rocking out the colour and glitter and presenting this beautiful unicorn stallion in the no tixs, no shows category. We wish Frank Jr the best of luck!
 
In the dog no shows or tix category we would like to dedicate our shout out this week to N.adhimas, Chubby. Dedicated in the memory of her beloved Nana, we wish this pair the very best of luck. With an impressive pedigree, and sweet picture, I am sure that they will rock the competition.

Bosco 4/25/2007 – 4/1/2021

Today I would like to take a second to talk about a very dear friend of mine, Bosco the Border Collie who sadly made his final journey over the rainbow bridge last week. He was the beloved family pet of City of Angels, and I know that she has been incredibly sad this week as she misses her very good boy.

Bosco was an exceedingly kind and loving dog, who loved nothing more than laying his head on your lap for kisses and cuddles or rolling over for a good old fashioned tummy rub! I will always remember Bosco for his undying enthusiasm for swimming at the beach or playing fetch with any old stick he found along the way. Bosco was a compassionate boy who loved all creatures great and small, including the cats that bullied him out of his bed. Bosco and City went on all sorts of crazy adventures, hiking up in the forests, swimming in rivers and streams. Bosco will be incredibly missed by all that knew him.

I know City has been very sad, as due to a pandemic she wasn’t able to get home and say goodbye, so if you can all give her a hug for me when you see her, I know she would appreciate that so much. I am grateful that my friend Bosco was loved by so many people.

I have just done the Which Hot Bunch Member Are You and I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone I am most like SubRosa.
