Let's talk about your favourite dog breed IRL, and why it's a favourite?

My all-time favourite breed has recently changed.
I have loved Rottweilers my entire life (and still do)
But now my favourite is the English Mastiff.

My favorite breed? I always said the one dog I'd never own is a lab - and now I have 2 field lines. They're super rewarding dogs and I couldn't imagine life without them.

Buuut I'm also really falling in love with Beaucerons.

How am I meant to decide?! Dx

I've always wanted a Saluki because they're just so elegant and beautiful, but we've got a little Border (or Welsh? really have no clue) Collie at the moment and she is just the best dog we could have ever asked for. So smart and trainable but also super cuddly. She just wants to be involved in everything and is the perfect little doggy to take on adventures. I *may* be biased, however.

But I would have another collie in a heartbeat.

I've always been a sucker for Dobermans and German Shepherds.

Thanks to meeting a Beauceron in person - I am 100% sold and my next dog WILL be a Beauceron.

I've always had Border Collies so I have to say they are my favourite. Golden Retrievers are a close second, although I don't think I'd ever own one.

I was raised with Alaskan and Siberian husky dogs and would love to get another (my pup that had passed a couple months ago was a Siberian x and she was PERFECT). BUT the spot for my favorite breed is a 3 way tie between Borzoi / Wirehaired Pointing Griffon / English Cocker Spaniel!

Borzoi -in my eyes, some think they look wierd- are exquisit and stunning dogs with a rich past, my actual dream dog. The ECS is just cute and probably the smallest dog I'd ever personally own lol Griffons are the ones I can actually see myself owning, reliable and hardy, they'd make a solid farm dog/companion.

If I ever get a dog in real life it'd be a golden retriever.

I've always been obsessed with Irish Wolfhounds, they're so BIG and handsome. I'll probably never have one because they're too expensive and I don't ever plan on owning enough land to give one the space it needs. 

My exes father had two of the wolfhounds.

Huskies/Malamutes

Such beautiful coat colors! And I love the bright blue eyes! My last dog had husky in her bevause she had one blue eye and one half blue half brown eye. It was so cool!!! Sweetest, calmest dog (not to mention my favorite!) I have ever had!

Huskies are my favorite. I own a red husky named Kaya and I love her aloof, but yet very joyful, personality. I'd love to get a Malamute someday too. (Um, giant awoo, yes, please!!) Bernese Mountain dogs are also a favorite but their lifespan is usually about 8 years tops, and I just can't imagine that short of time with a pupper ;_; so I probably never will splurge to get one.

I have always loved Huskies but the nergy level scares me sooooo much.
Especially because Dozer is an explosive energy dog and just.  Nope, never again.

Golden Retrievers - I have always been drawn to them although we have always had Border Collies. They are just so pretty and loveable, and just like walking teddy bears!

Indie is a big, sooky, galoop of a dog. And I wouldn't have them any other way

Number 1 fave is the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Would love one of my own. Apparently I had one as a young child, not that I remember it. Favourite colour would be black 'n tan. Close second are Golden Retrievers, Dobermans and Boxers.

Honestly Kaya is super chill when she's doing nothing. She could easily either sleep all day or run all day and she's perfectly content either way. xD

Dozer is like some amalgamation of horrifying genetics in that he never ever stops.

One time.
We went camping.
We went for a quad ride - like 9 km long.
He refused to stay in the side by side and ran probbbbably 7-8 km of it?
THEN.
He went swimming with us after, and Dozer swimming is him legit swimming in circles around his humans.
THEN.
We went back to camp and he was like.
Ball ball stick fetch please?pleasepleaseplease.
And then we were like okay horse ride time.
And I tried to tie him up so he wouldn't come with.
And he threw such a huge fit that we took him with and he was going to hurt himself.
(he did ride on Skip's butt with me for like, an hour of it.)

SO MUCH ENERGY.
