Maremma - is a close second place because I've met two and they're just adorable and loving and never forget you no matter how long it's been since you have last seen them, they just don't let me go anywhere for about an hour when I do visit them. They're also Livestock Guard Dogs, never received any training, and just do what they're supposed to do because it comes naturally to them. |

Growing up, my parents were very anti-dog so we never had one. I always ALWAYS wanted a Rottweiler though. They're such beautiful, loyal floofballs. When I got with my now-husband, we rescued a rottie with a bit of history. We think he was most likely beaten by a man as it took a while for him to get used to my husband. However, he fell in love with the kids! He always used to love watching them and following them round the house. We were gutted when he passed suddely. After about a year, we started looking for another rescue but we couldn't find any that were compatible with our household of kids and cats. So we took the plunge and brought Taco home. He has been absolutely amazing, a breeze to train with such a big baby personality xD He loves to follow me round the house (total mumma's boy!) I honestly feel so lucky that I have him in my life. I love a few other dog breeds but I would never consider getting one, rotties all the way for us! |

GSD all the way for me.
Gentle Energy - so much energy Rambunctious - they make me smile though with their antics Majestic (when they're not being derpy) Attentive - great for heelwork Nimble - very important when you nearly stand on them
Smart - sometimes too much for their own good Happy - just want to be with you whatever you are doing Easy-going - Tia is so happy to lie in bed or go a 5 mile walk Protective Hairy - look so cute but my god the fluff in the house Eager - to please River dogs - love the water Derpy

I've always been fond of Old English Sheepdogs. I was (still am) obsessed with the movie Labyrinth when I was a kid and my neighbor used to have a gorgeous Sheepdog/Lab mix named Gummy Bear |

I think I'm a hound person! My dog Winston is a Treeing Walker Coonhound and Mountain Cur, and we're fostering a Treeing Walker Coonhound. I also work as a dog trainer and hounds are just my favorite to work with. They're pretty independent dogs and require a little more "convincing" that they can follow your lead and I respect that haha. Although for my next dog I've been thinking a Beauceron or English Springer Spaniel. I love our rescues but I want to try my hand with a sporty, high drive dog. |

^ I just learned about Maremmas this past year. And also found out one of our neighbors actually breeds them! I've always liked rotties too. Thanks to Taco, I want one even more. ;P We had a rottie/lab mix growing up and he was such a big, loveable derp. ♥ |

Border Collies are still my #1. But I've recently started to think of my 5 year plan, and I do seriously sit and consider what breed of dog I might want to bring into my life. I love big dogs, but would need a gentle breed, so Rough Collies are up there for me! |

I grew up with my parents breeding and training German Shepherd's for Schutzhund. (Link to know what it is: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schutzhund) My family traveled around North America going to competitions. My parents were so big in it we owned our own kennel. They imported dogs from all over Europe and we even routinely had people stay with us from countries like Turkey, Hungary, etc that were learning under my parents. We always had dogs everywhere but the best and most prevalent were the GSDs. When I was very small I would go missing my mom would say and she would find all my clothes and even my diaper laid out along the way and she would eventually find me in the welping boxes with some of my favorite females and their litters of puppies. I would be curled up against her with the rest of them fast asleep like I was a puppy. They were the center of our lives for so many years. They helped raise me. My shepherd now, Mirco, is my other half. He is my best friend, love of my life, and protector. I have been thankful everyday for the passion he brings to my life. I fear the day when he will only be in my memories. my sister and I with a litter of puppies https://imgur.com/a/336lqy9.jpeg |

While I generally love the look and energy of working breeds, I knoq I could never get onw (jus 'cause I be lazy). I dogsat a Bichon Havanaise for three months, and I fell in love with the energy level, chillness, while still being up for an adventure. I also love me a papillon (or more likely a phalene because they have cute floppy ears), as my grandparents had one while I was growing up. Such a sweetheart and loooved long walks and doing tricks. |
