June's Player of the Month!:D A Huge Congratulations to Apothie!Apothie (#46150) has been chosen to be in this month's spotlight! A fun presence to have in Chat with a love of all things green! Community Chatter "Apothie is such a kind soul!" "It's been such a joy to get to know them as they've been more active in forum posting, and I appreciate such community participation." The Interview Questions! Anyone who wins P.o.t.M. can answer as many or all of the questions as they feel comfortable answering! ......HP Questions...... 1. How did you first learn about us? My dad and I were talking about games we grew up with when he decided to chide me about the 'horse game I spent to much time on' lol he was speaking of HL. As I started to reminisce about my time on there I was itching to find another sim game like it and ta-da! HP was the first game to pop up. Thanks dad! 2. What is your favorite thing about HP? The community there are so many of you willing to reach out and help others or to be a shoulder to lean on and it's incredible. 3. How long have you been playing for? Christmas day of 2018 4. How did you come up with your player name? Apothie comes from the word apothecary. I'm fascinated by all things earthy, botanical and medicinal. If it serves a purpose to health and I can grow it in my garden, I'm here for it :D 5. What is your favorite breed of horse or dog to train? Borzoi of course, and Kladrubers. 6. What caused you to pick the breed(s) you train and breed? I scrolled upon this video on pinterest and thought 'What a weird dog, what is it?' 7. How do you come up with names for your animals? Usually what ever has my interest at the moment. Some animals are named after roses from one of my favorite providers. Others are named based off of my favorite game which is Destiny. 8. What are your current goals on HP? I achieved my main goal of becoming BA for Borzoi in May. So I'm working toward having the highest pointed Borzoi on the game. 9. Do you have a favorite animal? (It can be your own or another player’s you admire!) Argonaut (dog #123335) and Potosi (dog #123334). They were my first 2 millers and the animals that ultimately brought me back to HP after going through some anxiety and self doubt. They're more than just my first 2 millers in a way. *Fun fact - they're also the great great great great (I think that's the right amount of greats?) grandparents to Amberellie's and Moorf's mascot entry Cherimoya. 10. Who’s your go-to graphic artist or coder? Are there any services you offer? How do you pick one when there's so many talented artists and coders? Uta, Dakiti, Amberellie, Aeon, Monnie the list goes on lol I'm saving up to add some of Trig's work to my collection. As for me at this moment, I offer account sitting and training. 11. What is your favorite Site-Wide yearly event? MANGOS EPIC QUEST. 12. What other contests or activities do you usually participate in? Bingo, forum games, and monthly word searches. 13. Do you have any training or breeding tips to share? Absolutely not. I'm still trying to find a rhythm myself. 14. Which seasonal layout art is your favorite? Spring or winter! 15. If you could change one thing about HP, what would it be and why? N/A 16. What do you spend most of your time on HP doing? Lurking, fawning over artwork and training. 17. What is your favorite Club? N/A ......Real Life & Random Questions...... 1. Where are you from? Central Minnesota. 2. Does your place of residence have any sort of quirky history fact or legend/tradition, and if so, what is it? N/A 3. What do you do for work? I manage a small private horse barn that takes in and rehabilitates horses that have soundness issues. 4. Do you own any horses or dogs? No 5. Do you have any other types of pets at home? My precious kitty Augie 6. What are your favorite breeds of horse and dog? I don't have a favorite breed for dogs but I love the big bois. Stock breeds are my favorites for horses. I grew up having Paints and Quarter horses and they're what I'm familiar with. 7. Do you have any hobbies? If so, what are they? Booping plants, talking to my cat and playing video games. 8. What’s your favorite color? Red 9. What’s your favorite Holiday or Month? Halloween! 10. Do you have a favorite vacation spot? If so, what or where is it? N/A 11. Do you have any special talents? If so, what are they? N/A 12. If you could own any breed of horse, what would it be and why? Any color pinto Warmblood. I love some color but I also love their athleticism and tenacity. 13. If you could own any breed of dog, what would it be and why? I would LOVE a Borzoi but another husky would be nice too. 14. If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be and why? RDJ. My forever crush. Ages like fine wine lmao 15. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why? Norway/Sweden. I'd love to see where my ancestors came from. 16. What would be your dream job? I've dreamed of becoming a lab tech in biology and be stationed at McMurdo Station - the US's research base in Antarctica. 17. What would be your dream meal of choice? Street tacos lol 18. What is the top thing on your Bucket List? There's a place in Norway you can swim with Orcas and humpbacks in the wild. It's at the very tip top of my list. 19. What talent do you wish you had? What's the opposite of procrastination? That. 20. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Strawberry 21. What is something you fear? Toads - there's just something in their eyes that gives me the heebie jeebies. 22. What’s the funniest joke you heard recently? N/A 23. What Meme do you currently relate to? (please provide the pic link) Clicky! 24. Any good books or comics that you’ve read recently? I highly recommend the Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller 25. Any good movies or shows you’ve seen lately? Our Father on Netflix had me entrapped the entire time *shudders* 26. What is your go-to show to stream? (Via Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.) N/A 27.
