I'm watching and loving it, it's great!

I don't yet have a fave, but I do like Princess Rhaenyra.

I think he looks good as Daemon. I don't know much about the history of GoT/HotD, so I don't know if he's doing the Prince justice.

And my House is Velaryon. Lord Corlys is handsome af, and I was drawn to the House because one of the symbols of my city is the hippocampus. So I guess I'm biased. >_>

My buddy convinced me into watching HotD, even while watching Got I had very little interest in the Targaryens so that's how I started out while watching the spin off.

So far, I'm really enjoying it. It fills the void that Season 8 left behind. I feel like they are more likable in this series, in Game of Thrones we only ever really saw the bad parts of the House (ex: Mad King, Viserys and eventually Dany) I love the sets, and the costumes with the exception of the hair. I find the story is captivating, even though the episodes are around an hour each I'm still clinging on for more. 

I don't really have a favorite character yet, it's hard to settle on just one. 

All I see when Daemon is on screen is the 11th Doctor in a Legolas wig. (I feel like some of the wigs are wonky on everyone though, I'm sure they'll figure it out for season 2) I too am unsure if he's doing his role justice, but I'm here for his chaotic energy and am currently reading Fire & Blood as a side gig so I can learn more in terms of the History and Lore of Westeros.

House Alignment: Probably Baratheon because they always kill me with their one liners. They've always been mouthy and it's entertaining for me. XD

Now that I'm finally caught up (I just couldn't find the time to watch the last two episodes lately!), I can read and reply to this thread. xD

I have some mixed feelings on it so far. It feels like it's moving SO fast. We've covered years in a matter of three episodes. But, to be fair, it doesn't feel bad. I just wish I was seeing more of the character development along the way!

As Shadow said, I would die for Rhaenyra. I really enjoy her as a character so far and am excited to see how her story pans out. I know absolutely nothing lore wise from this period so I have no idea how her story goes. The scene of her returning to the camp during the hunt for Aegon's nameday with the pig blood all over her was such a mood. She is definitely my favorite right now.

Daemon is an neat character as well. I'm hoping his arc isn't as predictable as it seems. I don't really know him outside of this role so I guess I'm lucky in that! He does look a little out of place sometimes, but I do think he suits the character well.

It is so hard to choose a single house! But since Rhaenyra is Targaryen, I might have to go with that one. HOWEVER, Velaryon is really really close behind. Sea Snake is a sick nickname for Corlys, Castle Driftmark sounds neat, and I'm a sucker for anything with strong sea ties. xD

I am obsessed. Rumor says it make take 4 seasons to do the Dance of Dragons in its full glory and I am ALL for it!! 

I am team Daemon all day, however, after this past episode I am real excited to watch Aemond. I thought his character was really interesting and dangerous in the book so I am excited :D 

Absolutely LOVE the show so far! So excited for the rest of it! I am not sure who read the book and who didnt so dont want to say anyhting else right now lol

I don't have much to say except that Aemond grew up into a whole snacc and I am ready to fall on my sword for him lmao.

I feel like the showrunners are pushing us towards supporting the Blacks. Neither side is completely "good or bad", but this week's episode (1x09) definitely solidified my support for the Blacks over the Greens. I haven't read Fire & Blood yet, but from what I'm gathering they're way worse in the book (but then again I'm sure the Blacks are as well), and the showrunners have kind of "toned down" their viciousness and made them a bit more shades of grey.

The way this week's episode ended, though, was probably my favorite thing to see so far. It even beats out Aemond claiming Vhagar (I ain't happy about that persay, but it was cool AF to watch anyway). Just... so much was said even in the silence as Rhaenys stared at Alicent.

Next week, though, next week is going to be rough and I'm both so not ready and completely ready at the same time.

Casting really came for all of us who are into damaged, unstable men when they cast Matt Smith and Ewan Mitchell. Nobody should look that good with an eyepatch and yet, here I am, simpin'.

as a book reader, I am not ready for next week. i also appreciate how they are making the sides more gray in the show and not super obvious who you should be routing for. 

as for yesterdays episode, SCREAMED! ran laps around the house. It was EPIC! 

Yesterday's episode was SO GOOD. I'm so glad about how it ended and can't wait to see next Sunday's episode. So many interesting characters playing such neat little roles. I can't wait to see how it all pans out for them.

I haven't read the books so oof, this is all new to me lol. I did absolutely love last night's episode, and Rhaenys is just.. ugh she's my queen, I said it.

But uh... I'm just gonna officially don my Aemond Apologist cloak because.. I'm sold. Signed, sealed, delivered Aemond simp. Wrap me in a tortilla and call me a cheesy quesadilla, I'm so hype to see what's next for him and his clever gorgeous head 😭

Princess Rhaenys looked amazing upon Meleys, in her armour. Utter BAMF.

ummm I am still 100% team daemon so you still have to share him!! lol BUT, Aemond is still a piece of cake id like to wrap up and take home with me :D 

yeah, I think it should be a rule for those who did not read Fire & Blood that we do not spoil because it will be huge for those of you that did not! I almost wish id be surprised! HOWEVER, the scene with Rhaenys was a great surprise, that did NOT happen in the book!

brooooooooo those final scenes made me SICK

GoT and HoTD are not the shows to watch when you have young children (boy in particular) and are a wee bit sensitive to harm/deaths involving them. I had nightmares over seeing pieces of Arrax and Lucerys falling from the sky. Despite all the things I've seen/read in both series/books, this hit a little bit differently. 

I can't get used to Matt Smith, I keep seeing Doctor Who and Prince Phillip. I think it's his voice? Idk.

@Shadow Fox I am CACKLING at that first meme even though I was pretty much hyperventilating for the last 20minutes of the final episode because, let's face it, even those of us who don't know the lore knew what was coming.
