Does anyone use Google Sheets or Excel spreadsheets to keep their lines organized? I want to prohibt myself from accidentally inbreeding or something silly down the road, plus I'm just a sucker for a well formatted spreadsheet. I'm in the process of developing one for myself, but wasn't sure if anyone else had one and wouldn't mind sharing some tip/tricks/ideas/suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I haven't used spreadsheets for my lines yet, but I use them for literally everything else. I'm absolute trash for spreadsheets, I love them lmao.

I made a couple free-to-use spreadsheets for HPers to help keep track of accounts and private shows and training ^^ I'll have to hunt through the threads and find the link for them.

I might be making one for my lines soon anyways, especially with my breed-to-achieve breeds (Saint Pierres and Goldendoodles). But also for my knabs, I have three lines that are always at risk of inbreeding if I don't pay attention x-x

I love my spread sheets. I use them for literally everything. I have a breeding formula, a training schedule, account tracking, upgrade tracking, hpp, hpd, hbd... everything lol

and then I also make them for contests that I participate in. I have zero control lol

I would love the link to those public spreadsheets. I am also a lover of anything spreadsheet, but am totally trash at creating them. xD

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with the love for spreadsheets, y'all are my people haha. My co-workers know that I'm the spreadsheet lady, and we have spreadsheets for EVERYTHING now. :D

I make a spreadsheet for literally anything I can lol. HP and real life. I haven't done one to keep from inbreeding because I think HP's coding stops that from happening already? And I usually one keep one foal per pair. But literally everything else I make a sheet for lol

Lumos, I'd feel pretty silly for sitting here for an hour formatting a new spreadsheet if thats that case lol. Although there's much worse things I could be doing. 😂

I've tried to make spreadsheets etc. for my animals and accounts for here and Lioden, but never keep up with them.

On here, I'm not worried about inbreeding, as I keep my lines separate and don't breed outside their dividers.

@Buoy - a mod or admin would know lol I just recently came back to the game but for some reason my brain is telling me that was a feature that was added at one time or another 🤔

I actually don't see anything in the help sections about it so maybe I am dreaming it up lmfao. Could be something that was once talked about and not added?

I was all ready to post an answer to the inbreeding prevention mechanic, and then yall made me doubt myself lmao.

I'll check with the admins, but I believe that there is a mechanic to prevent inbreeding - but it only works within the current pedigree. So if you go to the animal's pedigree page, it won't let you breed with any of the animals on that page. But if you go further back than those generations, you would be able to inbreed. I've done that by mistake with retirement breedings more times than I care to admit lmao.

I could be making this up though, and it was just something discussed but not yet a part of the game lol.

I think I still have siibs old spreadsheets somewhere on my phone. I felt so organized using them but only for a total of like 2 months then never opened them again lol I should get back into tracking things since I'm starting to lose control over the amount of critters I have and keep buying

I use a program called Family Echo. It's a family tree maker and works extremely well. Here is the link: Family Echo - Free Online Family Tree Maker

I use them for everything but lines, as my lines never cross (which alleviates the inbreeding risk).
