Refresh your memory of the Griffin Lodge volume! Chapter I Chapter II Chapter III Chapter IV
The study is dark, shadows spilling from every corner and seeping across the floor. The gloom is held at bay with a handful of candles upon the desk, burned low and surrounded by hills of their own wax. Silence has fallen heavily over the room, and it would seem that not a breath stirs the air...
You sit, poring through various aged tomes and scrolls, comfortable in the sound of parchment and creaking leather bindings.
You’re looking for more information on the Pixiu, or the Ebon Claw, or anything that might help Duncan and the Huntsmen in their struggle against Hakkon. But surrounded by so much knowledge, it’s hard to focus on any singular detail.
The hours crawl onward, and the night deepens. The candles grow low, burning their lives to an end. A shadow passes over the moon, but you don’t see it. Eventually, a gentle breeze drifts through the small window at your back, and it’s just strong enough to finally douse what wicks still burn. Darkness claims the study completely, and you slumber, head resting on books, dreams filled with beasts of wonder and fright. Welcome to the 2023 edition of the Epic Quest - Side Quests! This year, we’ll be revisiting the three previous volumes of the Epic Quest to find our stories and activities. The characters you created will make (hopefully) glorious returns, but the XP list starts fresh!
Here’s how the Epic Quest works: I will host an activity each month that plays into the story that was being told. You’ll earn small prizes for each activity you complete - like points, HPD, or cash shop items. You’ll also earn XP points, and the player with the most XP points at the end of the year - November 2023 - will win the grand prize: a fully coded tabbed layout from me, matching animal CSS, and a 1-year upgrade! The runner-up will also receive a prize: a custom coding slot for simple layout (scrolls or expandables), and a 6-month upgrade!
Participate in the Epic Quest activity every month of the year, and you’ll earn a special prize: an official HP achievement and a store pair with 100k points.
If you have any questions about the quest, prizes, or how it works, don’t hesitate to message me!
Welcome back to Griffin Lodge, Huntsmen!
In your efforts to learn more about magical creatures, your head has filled with all kinds of unusual knowledge. But when you wake in the morning, you discover that your sleepless brain only wrote down descriptions - not the creatures themselves!
Below is the list of monster descriptions. Your job is to try and figure out the list of 10 monsters. Once you’ve completed your list, message it to me!
If your list is correct, you’ll be given a little puzzle to solve. Complete the activity, send me a screenshot, and you’re all done.
You can send your list as many times as needed until you get every monster correct. You may also ask other players for hints, but nobody should be giving out answers directly. Try your best to keep this as a simple fun puzzle for everyone - not just something to do for the prize.
