Not sure if this has been done before but I always like hearing the reasoning or story behind other players names!

I used to play a lot of first person shooters way back before games were really MMO. We'd have LAN parties with friends so that we could all hook up to the internet and play together. 

I was the only girl in the group and being that plus a gamer I always got picked on, lol. When we were all choosing our names they told me I should be Vexation since I was annoying. Hence...Vex.. and Vexation. I even have an LLC named Vexed Solutions!

I've carried this game mostly in FPS and MMO games but wanted to bring it to the HP world. In HL I was Exposure because I loved photography but it didn't carry on to other games.

So, tell me how you picked your name! :)

This is a new name for me; I always go with a variant of my name. Instead of Kittinator (cross between Kitty and Terminator), I opted for a more whimsical name of Trinket, only my spin on it having it be Kit at the end.

My real name is Daneka.

Pronounced Dah-neck-ah.
So friends used to shorten it to Danka, then Dunka, then Dunk.
Hence why I was Dunk for ages.

Then the Nekeneke comes from the "nek" in my name.
In my name, its pronounced neck, but on here, its neek like sneak.
Because I hated people messing up my name and calling me dah-neek-a, so somehow Neke became a nickname too LOL.

Little Wolf is actually the last name of a character from a fanfic I was going to write set in the world of one of my favorite book series. However, it never actually made it onto paper, so it only exists in my head. XD

Back when I was like 13 I had gotten Josh Groban's Closer album as a gift. There's a song on there called "Broken Vow" and the piano melody on it combined with his voice just hit my little soul quite deep. The lyrics themsleves are sad, but the melody is very soothing. I also very much enjoy piano featured songs over the other instruments. That pretty much began my life long appreciation for Josh, his voice, and his musical talents. Forever a Grobanite! :D

On HL originally I was Kizzy Connemaras (Kizzy short for Kismet, a horse I was working with a barn I volunteer at still). 

Then I was Blink after Blink 182.

Then HL decided that "link" was people putting code into their game and made the word link censored, so I became Blitz.

Blitz came from a TB mare at a racing farm I worked at one summer in HS. Her name was Blitz Wedding and she was a failed racehorse and a broodmare who was sweet and quiet. 

I love retro comic books and pop culture, and especially love He-Man. Skeletor is a babe, and it was my name on HL, so naturally it migrated with me over here to HP, I just added an extra 'L.'

I go by Salty Skye or Murdock on all other games. 

i used a lot fo different names, angel, auqas lullaby, aquata (which is why a lot of people call me aqua still) and even went by painted chaos (PC)
i was wanting a new name, something that was one word, i thought having two words in my screen name was childish lmaooo.
so, off to google i went and i came across the word ephemera, i was like oh that's pretty, but on dA it was taken, so i played around and got "ephemira." i chose thise spelling bc it has "ira" which was my first horses name, however the og spelling of the word means "something that is enjoyed for a short preiod of time" and while it might be a little sad, it felt fitting. so now i'm ephe 🥲

Sooo Legit the name came to me during creation of a Changeling LARP character and I actually RP'ed as the character for a while. She was bright, vibrant, and rainbow colored. Her 'full name' was Koni Kolor and that just kinda stuck for literally everything in my life after that. She was a branch off from an old RP character I played named Miinakoa! (Miin-a-Ko-ah)

My name came from Benny Lafitte He was a Vampire who was In purgtory and helped dean out In season 8 in supernatural

Was a plethora of things back on HL and even on HP... My name prior to mako was adonis, prior to that it was Nietzsche I think? Which I now cringe when I look back on it. Was Asfaloth for half a second... I've been a whole bunch of things since I can't seem to find one that just feels like... me.

My name is the first 2 letters of my then pets in age order.

Tilly, Fidley, Sam and Tia. - Tifisati.

Sam is no longer with me but we have gained Tallah and Fraggle.

On HL I went by Zimmer for a long time. Somebody at the campground we went to had a sign for their last name, Zimmerman, and I decided I liked the sound of Zimmer. Eventually got bored of that and wanted something new. I would have been a freshman in high school I think when I finally started trying to find a new name. I'd been compiling a list of ideas and was flipping through my Spanish textbook one day when I saw Etiqueta. It's stuck since then, although I considered a name change a few years ago.

Panthera Onca is the Latin term for Jaguar. On HL I originally was P.uma, but then someone else started using that name too... 😒So I changed it to Onca and once I found HP I added the Panthera to the front as someone had previously gone by Panthera on HL.

Tron was the one that started calling me Pants, tho, cuz we were in chat one time and people called me Panth and I jokingly said "that sounds like someone saying 'pants' with a lisp" and the rest is history. 😆

Kiyoko is a very old RP character of mine. He was created back in 2000 for a Gundam Wing RPG that took place in AOL chat rooms. (So old!) Currently he is one of my main RP characters in World of Warcraft. He is a Blood Elf holy priest, and his full name in the game is Kiyoko Sang’jour.

I am currently pondering my stable name theming. I have been considering Warcraft zones, but I am not 100% sure on it yet.

Mine isn't very deep. When I was like, a young teenager I came up with Nytmare. I played a lot of RPGs. I really love night. The moon, the stars. All of that jazz. So a mare is a female horse right? So a mare of the night. A nytmare! Dumb right? I know xD I was like 12-13 :p 

I do love it though. It's tattooed on my leg haha 😛

Ive used many names over the years of joining online communities like this. I may change my name on here, but Isley is one of my horses names and he's kiiiinda my favorite. hehe.

Mine is in honor of Fenway Park in Boston.

I've always loved going to Fenway to watch the Red Sox play. I actually got chills the first time I was able to attend a game and feel the history and nostalgia of such a historic venue.

Fenway, I've been to that park once to watch the Red Sox! What a cool stadium! Beautiful structure and also was awesome we got to see Boston win in like the 13th inning with a home run
