Congratulations to our June's Player Spotlight Winner!

Trig

Trig (#60) is super sweet to get to know. We're lucky she's stuck with us all these years!

3. How long have you been playing for?
I've been playing since 2009 with a hiatus in 2017

4. How did you come up with your player name?
I started using the name "Intrigue" after I bought an Oldsmobile Intrigue way back when and eventually shortened it to just "trig"

5. What is your favorite breed of horse or dog to train?
Since I've been breeding Abaco Barbs for so long I don't really remember how I landed on them. I want to say they just didn't have any breeders way back in 2009 and the more I looked into the breed the more interesting they became.

6. What caused you to pick the breed(s) you train and breed?
Most of my dog breeds come from real interactions with the breeds and me falling in love with them. My horse breeds are a little more sporatic.

7. How do you come up with names for your animals?
TV shows are my most common method but I also have some named after my pets.

8. What are your current goals on HP?
Eventually I want to get one of my Shih Tzu's on the All Time Dog list

11. What is your favorite Site-Wide yearly event?
Double points month! I also really enjoyed the Epic Quest event

13. Do you have any training or breeding tips to share?
For maximum points I like to "hand train" daily which can be a bit time consuming but worth it!

17. What is your favorite Club?
Wild Club, though the Rare Horse Breeds Clubs holds a special place since I was president for so long in 2022 to early 2023

1. Where are you from?
A tiny little town in the northeast corner of Missouri

2. Does your place of residence have any sort of quirky history fact or legend/tradition, and if so, what is it?
I live close to Hannibal, Mo which is the home of Samuel Langhorne Clemens, aka Mark Twain. He's the author of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.

3. What do you do for work?
I currently work as a vet assistant/supervisor trying to keep our veterinary hospital running smoothly and taking care of clients and their pets.

4. Do you own any horses or dogs?
I have a spoiled rotten, perfect little pupper named Jovie. She's one of four Shih Tzu's my family has

5. Do you have any other types of pets at home?
I have four goats, ten laying hens, and a super senior old lady ferret

7. Do you have any hobbies? If so, what are they?
I'm trying my hand at gardening this year with luffas, acorn squash, and sunflowers. I also enjoy making potted plant arrangements.

9. What’s your favorite Holiday or Month?
Christmas is my most favorite!

10. Do you have a favorite vacation spot? If so, what or where is it?
I really like going new places but a couple of my favorites are Destin, FL and Branson, Mo

11. Do you have any special talents? If so, what are they?
I can water ski so that's something

14. If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be and why?
They say you shouldn't meet your idols so I almost don't want to meet anyone like that haha. What if they turn out to not be nice people?

19. What talent do you wish you had?
I wish I could dance well. I don't let my lack of skill stop me but I'm sure I look pretty goofy.

24. Any good books or comics that you’ve read recently?
I'm currently reading book one of The Dark Artifices called Lady Midnight by Cassandra Claire

28. What is your favorite kind of pizza?
Pepperoni and mushroom but I'm always down to try other pizzas as long as they don't have sausage on them
