^{Let me introduce you to Mrs. Pinchy.}

^{YES, she is a freshwater yabbie (or crayfish, as some may call it).} 

^{Mrs. Pinchy is hardcore. At the pet store* I got her from she killed all of her tank mates, ate them and decorated her tank with their shells. She even escaped her own tank, and managed to find her way into one of the fish tanks and ate all the little fish there as well. The pet store was not happy.}

^{She has escaped the tank I keep her in at night twice, and I have woken up to her little feet clicking around  on my tile floors. She has eaten the one other yabbie I had. She sheds her skin/shell every couple of weeks, and eats that too. When she's not feeling particularly cannabilistic, she eats some pellety stuff called 'crab cuisine' and the occaisonal blood worm.}

^{Don't even think about trying to clean the tank with her in it or move her stuff around, she'll nip you and she'll draw blood.}

^{Anyway, the tank I keep her in now doesn't really suit her. It's sort of weirdly tropical, and sorta looks like something out of spongebob.}

^{I want something a bit more... dark? scary? tougher? I was thinking some black or white sand and maybe some skulls?}

yeah people eat'em up here too but it's definitely more of a southern thing.

Also, I just have to say, you take AMAZING shots. Jesus what's your secret? I can't take pictures of my lizard or any fish in the past for crap.

Haha, we get them here in our rivers and dams too. A lot of people here use the little ones for fishing bait. I dunno about eating them though XD

The photos are just taken with my phone lol. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and the lighting is just from her tank light. She keeps her tank nice and clean though so it has nice clear water.

if eventide never surfaces again, we can safely assume mrs pinchy fulfilled her life's goal and that it's my fault because i planted dangerous ideas in mrs pinchy's mind........

side note: that is so unbelievably creepy that they escape their tanks and crawl into your beds.. like what else would they be doing if not planning a murder? *hides*

Kirre that would be like an all you can eat buffet, and she eats A LOT. I think she could pull off the KISS theme though.

Yabbies REALLY like carrots, FYI. As hardcore and brutal as Chopper was, he still enjoyed his veggies lmao.

I would just give him a piece of carrot if I was using them for dinner. While peeling them i'd just peel a piece off and drop it down in front of him and he'd go all RAAAWWRRRRRRR waving his clippers around all manly and scary, then he'd grab his piece of carrot and turbo-reverse into his hut and sit in there and munch on it

YES MRS. PINCHY! You eat that carrot like nobody is watching! The first picture made me actually LOL and now Matt (my fiance) is part of the Mrs. Pinchy fan club as well.

Mrs Pinchy is making me miss Chopper!!! I think I need to get a Chopper II so Mrs Pinchy can have a virtual boyfriend.

Shae, that is the best idea ever. That way there can be a Mr. Pinchy, but one that she can't murder and eat. Huzzah!
