So, I'm sure someone has done this before but I wanted to give it a go myself. I am starting with two sets of store bought Quarter Horses. One pair is on an upgraded account and will get only enter all shows. The second pair will be on a basic account and have hand picked shows. I want to see how much difference there is between basic and upgraded training. I thought it could be fun to watch and see and share my results here. So each week, after all of that weeks shows have run, I'll post their points here so that everyone can see how it goes. :)

*Special notes: The first major difference is basic accounts only get 70 shows a week vs. 80 shows that upgrades get. This also means they only get 28,000 entrance points vs. 32,000 entrance points.

Fantasy i had the same thoought but I don't have the funds to start another pair of horses in full 80 right now. Maybe later on i'll do another round of the experiment of a just private show pair and compare those to these ones.

I believe there is a post somewhere explaining some detail on how much private shows helps compared to entering regular shows. 

I think your hand entered ones will do better. Especially depending on how you are hand entering them (what pages you pick from, doing it on a daily basis vs doing them all one day for the whole week, etc). 

Week 1 results are up and I'm a bit shocked. Even with less shows and less show entrance points the basic pair seemed to have done a bit better than the enter all pair.

For enter all are you doing random or higher priced shows? Just curious haha

To answer a few questions my thought process is to do this as random and basic as possible. So to answer insom's question I just left it random cause to me that being the default setting is the most random. And (kuwait) I do all the training sunday instead of throughout the week just cause lol You can get better points doing it throughout the week but I am going for the most basic training as possible so I'm not looking for shows with less entrants or anything like that. Just the bare minimum training regamin. 

Also if anyone wants to join in with their own version/way of doing it to compare. I'm happy to include other training style results to the experiment. I just don't have the time/money to do it other ways. lol xD  There is so many ways to do it all. Enter all with most/least expensive, hand pick on an upgrade, hand pick through the week, picking only the smallest entered shows, all private, only doing 10 a day on enter all, I'm sure I am missing a few methods but that just shows how many different styles of training there is available on the game!

Week 2 results are in! And If you thought the upgraded pair would take the lead well you were wrong. The Basic Mare is still the winner of the week.

and see if i can do a all private show at only 10/day  so if anyone has any private shows they want to donate or i can buy message me. I am also going to do them on American Quarter Horse :) so using my other account: 3920

On my basic pair I do it all sunday, I don't look at how many are in the shows, and I do 20 every day and 10 for the last day (since they only get 70 per week). I did it this way to make it as simple as possible so it's still kinda "random" like the upgrades. 

And absolutely I encourge anyone to pick another training style! It would be awesome if this became a thing for the whole hp community to contribute and us all to find out together what is the best style. I may be able to donate 12 shows. All I ask is they be stores so it's all from starting at 0. I also did not enter them in any club shows / register them to any clubs so the points they get is from just shows.

Yes will be store.  I will buy them on Sunday to start fresh in a new week.   Ok that is good to know about the Club shows/registration i will add that to my notes on my page so i don't forget
