i upgraded this account today & also bought an upgrade from auction, its still stuck in 'trial upgrade'

It says trial upgrade for the first week, I believe. Message an admin to have your account white listed for a layout, though!

Yes. Even if you pay for an upgrade, it will say it's a Trial for the first week before it drops the "Trial" label.

Even if you're "regular" upgraded, though, layouts can't be whitelisted to happen until day 15. If you're an upgrade, it'll let you automatically. If you're a basic, you'll have to contact an admin to request whitelisting. 

I have no way to override the 15 days, so you're stuck waiting.
