what are our animals worth?

What's the typical HPD to point ratio? How much are my pups worth?
I spit out 100k pointed am staff pups and they hardly go for 5mil, yet I see foals going for wayyyy more. Does that have to do with the breed/species or?
I feel out of the loop. Any comments/suggestions?

I have no idea either, love. Which is one of the reasons I rarely sell to the public. I don't want to feel like I'm getting ripped off when I sell, but at the same time, I don't want people to think I'm overcharging. So I gave up with the whole thing. Though if you get a good answer, I might start doing a public line where I'll sell off foals to people who are interested in starting any of my breeds.

I think it has a lot to do with the popularity of the breed. I'd also venture to say that horses are more popular than dogs (though I could be wrong), so that's probably a factor as well.

Nothing. Unless it's a TB, or an SEA, or maybe a QH.

I'm going to have 7th generation Azteca foals soon from EXCLUSIVELY 3, 4, and 5 million point lines and I can't GIVE them away.

Uni and I never had much luck selling foals from Egypt who is the 3rd highest pointed horse on the game. The economy on this game *sucks* you spend tons and tons and tons of money on animals and you can't make anything off them.

(Actually I did give some of my Aztecas away twice and they people didn't even bother to train them.)

I'd have taken some foals from Your Azteca lines, i have considered buying your foals from other lines but i'm scared i won't do them justice. Although i LOVED my foal from Eqypt and will continue to do so.I don't understand why more people don't buy from established breeders, as it's a great way to start some new lines. I know i'd rather spend the extra money on decent foals/pups than buy store. It doesn't add more and more store horses to the game and i think it makes you more inclined to train them. The economy does suck! :(

It depends on the breed i sold a 150k wolf pup for 200 mill but a boston terrier pup of the same points i had to give to a friend to get someone else to breed.

Not having broken lines and adding official crossbreeds was theoretically supposed to help the animal market :(, we need to find a way to promote animal and breeding sales on HP

Not having broken lines is a great addition, it should give people more confidence to buy from other players.

Agreed, Mae. I'm about to start some public lines of SEAs and American Eskimo Dogs just to get people into them, but I'm not even sure if people will even take them. So it might be pointless...

We love your Egypt bebes, Mae. < 3I think I gave you Azteca foals super early in the lines so I don't care about those. I actually forgot I gave them to you. =p

If anyone wants to start breeding am staffs to help out their popularity, I will give the 1st 2 players a pair of pups that are well pointed and lined, only if you are interested in them...in turn I will help out those 2 players with their breed that gets no attention, however that may be. If anyone's interested in the trade comment away. I have the highest am staffs on the game and under 15years - my youngest is currently top 2 on youngest dogs at 312k pts @ 2yo...

And Sam- for the crossbreed list, for dogs, Am Staffs and Am Pitbull terriers are the same breed just recognized by different associations. Would you consider the bully breeds in your crossbreed plan? (Am staffs, apbts, bullmastiffs, am bulldogs, and staffordshire terriers) and anything bred within those dogs would produce something like:Am staff x staff = am staffAPBT x bullmastiff or bull terrier = APBTam staff x bullmastiff or bull terrier= am staffAPBT x staff = am staff or APBT ??In RL I know breeders who use a bullmastiff and sometimes a mastiff every 4th generation to ensure size in the breed (pitbulls) so maybe the mastif could be incorporated in the crossbreed chart too? Like:Mastif x APBT = APBTMastiff x am staff = am staffMastiff x bull terrier = bullmastiff Idk if bullmastiffs or bull terriers are existing breeds or not.. Just some ideas running through my head..

There are WAY too many breeds being added to the game to keep a good breeding community. Less breeds available would mean more people would have to "share" a breed, therefore would promote sharing lines. *shrugs*

Mem, sure, message me with what needs to be added.Bin, yeah, that's one of the things we're trying to control with the active breeders lists. Maybe somehow we could use the HP association to promote breeders sharing breeds.

BinSki- EXACTLY. Stop adding breeds and adopt a breed that's already unpopular!! That's not admins fault though, that's the players faults. Nobody wants our breeds D:Sam- okay I'll message you shortly :)

The game probably just needs time to grow and so be it the economy, like HL used to be.I've got my Thoroughbreds which will be my main breed, hopefully be able to make money with them. Then I also have Spanish Arabians and Welsh Cobs on other accounts, it appears there's two active SSA breeders including myself and nobody else breeding Welsh Cobs :( so for those, I don't expect to make anything.
