I got a kitten!

I got a kitten! 😸 She's my first kitten that I've ever had and she doesn't have a name yet. I was thinking about "Killmouski" or "Slippers". She's a dilute calico and very shy/fearful, so as soon as she stops hissing at me, I'll post pictures!  |

How about the name Charlie? I guess I'm having a hard time naming her because I only know her personality as timid (and sort of distrustful), but I feel like there's more to her than that. My friend is also pushing me to get a second kitten to be her playmate (and also to help her harass the dog). Since I'm not a cat person (yet) do you kitty people on her think a friend will help her come out of her shell? I feel like I should let her get used to me and trust me first..? |

Cats always do better with a second cat in my experience. Mordred was a little terror until we got Penelope. Now he's just... kind of a terror. I mean unless you have a super type a personality cat, having a friend really helps them stay simulated throughout the day.

its always nice for them to have a buddy of their own species....i have 8 in 1 house right now....2 are bitty babies though that i saved off the road....and 2 will be going to my outside cat pen soon.... |

Thanks everyone :D She is coming around little by little. She doesn't like Vino either but she does like to watch us. Oh, and I named her Peach! Aaanndd I think I am going to get another kitten o.O Even my landlord thinks I should, lol. I am going to adopt a very outgoing, playful, alpha-type kitten. I will probably get it after my house gets painted which will be next week sometime. So more pictures to come!!
