Personal Breeds

I used to play on another site that offered this for a payment of RL money(an outrageous amount I must add),so I thought this could be incorporated into HP. Personal Breeds could be thing offered for either RL money (available in the upgrades section) or HP money (purchasable in the store for a higher amount). What are Personal Breeds? They would be a chance for players to create their own horse/dog breed.They could name the breed in the menu where you would go to purchase them and get 4 free pairs of the breed(or less/more,depending on what would fit)[After the 4 pairs you could purchase a new animal of your Personal Breed in the drop down menu to purchase regular animals,or there could be another option in the area where you create your breed.].Depending on the original purchase option (HP money or RL currencies),the purchase price for extra animals of your breed could be set. As far as going into detail about your breed(describing origins,colors,height,appearance etc.),you would have to do that in your layout/homepage.Of course you can fill in the categories on your horse's page like you can with regular breeds. I'm honestly not sure how others would feel about this.If it was offered for HP money purchase,it could take money out of the economy (I would suggest a high purchase price.100mill+).If it was offered for RL currencies,it would give Sam more income from the game to perhaps be used for game updates and the like if she wanted :). |

I'd love to see something like this in the black market one day, if/when Sam ever adds it in.Something expensive so it's rare, but so that it IS available. |

I personally think this would be a good idea either as a "black market" item, or as an item that we sold for USD, although I wouldn't even know where to begin pricing something like this. |

If you were to add this is and the person who has "purchased" the breed has access to it at all time in the store I would charge way more than$10 a pair to make it worth it USD wise. I'd probably make it outrageous at like $15/horse(or dog) haha. |

I think $15 per pair would be a little too crazy.The website I was on charged like $95 to make your breed and get 4 pairs of it,which I thought was outrageous.I would think around $40 or $50 would be O.K. for creating your breed and to get some starter pairs.I think being your spending real money to get your breed that you should be able to purchase more pairs for HP money to be reasonable.It could be expensive.Maybe $50k-$100k per pair.But then again,if you spend RL money to get the breed you shouldn't have to spend a crazy amount to get more of it. |

I think maybe a system where you could spend $50 for four pairs of a custom breed, and then maybe either an HP amount or a lower amount to get more pairs of that breed when you need them would work? |

Yeah,that sounds fair :).The place I originally found this charged like $10-$15(I forgot xD)for a pair or two.Then again,they charged A LOT more for your breed.I would think HP money for more pairs,but that's just me :). ADD-ON: I also thought(just now xD),maybe they could automatically get the 80 shows breed specialty bonus on the account they were created on?Just to add an extra perk being it is a lot of RL money(if you lean that way).But I don't know if that would be too gimmie-gimmie.I thought maybe because people would turn away from the personal breed thing because they would have to drop their breed specialty(If they're like me they don't have time to hop onto different accounts every day xD)to be able to take their breed where they want it. |

So now we are gonna have weird breeds on HP that dont really exist...i mean unicorns and peguses dont exist but are normal since everyone thinks they do....honestly im not gonna spend real money to make a breed that potentially no one else will take to...im all for the "real" breeds...this is just me so dont yall get offended!!! But this is somethin i wont spend money on...unless they take away the 3 breeds i do partake in...in which then ill just quit.... |

You don't need to spend money on them if you don't want to. If it were to happen it'll be just for whoever wants to spend the RLD to make their own breed. It wouldn't be something you had to do. And I don't see Sam taking away any breeds... Unless of course there are no current breeders. |

Not that I'm trying to bring in the game I used to be on,but being I based the idea off of it (because I happened to love it so much),I keep bringing in references from how PBs were run on there.Mainly because it worked and didn't create a fiasco.On the game,if you buy the breed then nobody else can get that breed unless you sold one of yours.They couldn't purchase a breeding pair,create an animal of that breed,anything.In the game you could choose to release your breed as a public breed if you so chose,but you could keep it 100% private if you wanted to.I feel like I'm putting way too much comments in on this,but I sporadically think of stuff and then realize it would work on here,too.Lol. |

We're not taking away any current breeds (unless people stop breeding them, of course). This would only be for people who wanted them - kind of like the Adranthloosa and Canablitz Horse.But we'll see. This would be more for a black market type thing if we ever decided to have one, which we may or may not. |

I'm not particularly fond of this idea... I don't have a really specific reason as to why, I just don't like it and would prefer to not see it on HP.. especially when there are so many other improvements/additions that could be made that would benefit more people on the game..I also think it will make it even harder to try and establish communities of breeders if everyone is in their own little world with their own special breed that no one else can have or wants... |

I like the idea but I feel like with the accepted crossbreeds thing it's kind of pointless. I'm not entirely sure what the difference would be between a personal breed and a crossbreed. I mean with most breeds if you can get enough breeders rounded up it will be added in anyway.I guess it could work if the personal breeds wanted aren't actual breeds in RL and have no chance of ever being added |

I think that would be the point - like a horse named after you or whatever.But again, it's not something that is for sure being added - it's just a thought! |

You guys are right.I think people would be silly to buy a personal breed for a real life breed,though.The whole point of this would be for you to create your own breed :).I do like the idea of adding new mythical breeds.If new RL breeds could be added,why not mythicals? |

For some reason, I just picture people making a ridiculously named breed like "Belieber" or "Kung Fu Chickenhawk". It makes me laugh.Now being able to actually create a mythical breed or incorporate a less well known type and actually put up information somewhere about them.. that would be very neat. (: |

if this were the case and was added we are gonna see "spoons" and half horse half dog breeds roaming around...i like HP the way it is breed wise...maybe offer an option as to where people could pay RL money for the breeds that arent on here that they want added?! I think that would be a better idea |

i mean "realistic" breeds people want added that need atleast 3 people to breed...if you offered them for RLD then the game wouldnt suffer if the buyer chose to quit the breed... |
