Personal Breeds

I used to play on another site that offered this for a payment of RL money(an outrageous amount I must add),so I thought this could be incorporated into HP. Personal Breeds could be thing offered for either RL money (available in the upgrades section) or HP money (purchasable in the store for a higher amount). What are Personal Breeds? They would be a chance for players to create their own horse/dog breed.They could name the breed in the menu where you would go to purchase them and get 4 free pairs of the breed(or less/more,depending on what would fit)[After the 4 pairs you could purchase a new animal of your Personal Breed in the drop down menu to purchase regular animals,or there could be another option in the area where you create your breed.].Depending on the original purchase option (HP money or RL currencies),the purchase price for extra animals of your breed could be set. As far as going into detail about your breed(describing origins,colors,height,appearance etc.),you would have to do that in your layout/homepage.Of course you can fill in the categories on your horse's page like you can with regular breeds. I'm honestly not sure how others would feel about this.If it was offered for HP money purchase,it could take money out of the economy (I would suggest a high purchase price.100mill+).If it was offered for RL currencies,it would give Sam more income from the game to perhaps be used for game updates and the like if she wanted :). |

It wouldn't work on HP2 because of the genetics. |

Just to add my 2 cents...aza, your spoons comment made me think back to old HL when we had sporks and such running around! Lol. I had a rather impressive line of venus fly traps if I remember correctly....But in all seriousness, I think it would be neat, but I'm in no hurry to get it added. Like it was previously posted, I know I'm in a group of players that wants to see Cerberus added, and I think that it would be more fair to add those first since there's already a large group that wants them before we add something like this. |

lol i remember them and when people use to make horse/dog breeds like tb-corgis...thats where i see personal breeds going... |

It worked on the game I used to play on didn't let breed be created without being reviewed.That kept them from being crazy like that,but that might be a lot on the moderators/admins.I totally wish I played HL when they had Venus Fly Traps and the like xD.That would have been fun,lol. |

Going back to one of Aza's old posts you could offer real breeds at a small price (like $5-$10 max) for people who can't get the minimum amount of players needed to get a breed added but really want to have them added? |

I'm just going to be blunt and say this sorta ticks me off. You have to scrounge up 4 breeders in order to get a breed added that is REAL and that people own in their everyday lives, but it's okay to spend a crazy amount of money to get some fake made up animal? I know it's just an idea, but if this is ever put into the game, ALL registered real breeds should be available. No matter if one person wants to breed them or 100. |

Mobius...it was back when you could fill everything out on the horse pages yourself, breed included. That's how we did it lol. |

Silhouette it's because there are just wayyy to many breeds compared to the amount of players on HP. I think they cut down some breeds to help encourage a few people to breed the one breed which in turn would boost selling/breeding. |

Perhaps completely off-topic, but with people wanting new breeds added in the forums all the time, and having to get 5 breeders and all that jazz.. could we not (again, maybe as a black market.. or perhaps in a 'breeds' section) have a whole list of breeds not on HP that players would have to be purchased with RLD. Perhaps $5 per animal or something.I think when paying RLD, people would commit to it.. and maybe to get a breeding, it would cost say.... $2 per breeding or something. Or $500k HPD. These breeds wouldn't be able to be purchased from the store, and it wouldn't 'clog' the site up with unwanted animals.For example, I'd love to see Finnish Lapphunds on the game, and I'd be more than happy to pay RLD for a starter breed.Rather than people creating, like dulcie said, a belieber chicken-hawk-pig-horse-dog type thing.Just another suggestion.. |

I also used to play a game that had this option (it was waaaaay cheaper than 95$, and when you bought it you only got a pair. And I don't think the mods had to review it) but we could buy anything really. I don't remember what all people had bought but there were mostly things like I think toadstools and just random things, kinda like Adranthloosas. It seemed like a good way to keep RL money in the game and players really stuck with their random little animals because they paid RLD for it, you know? Like when you buy an upgrade, you kinda commit. At least for a while. I think the idea started when the owner of the game gave a mod a pair of yoshies or something like that for Christmas. Everyone wanted their own so the owner charged RLD for it and it was really big. I was actually talking to someone in chat about this today. :PPersonally, I'd like to breed Thestrals. I doubt I could get them added though, so I'd be willing to buy them for RLD(or pay someone HPD to make me some, if that would be allowed), if the prices were fair enough. (not 95$ lol) |

Yep I am with the others. I am desperate to breed Walers but I know I will never find 4 other people to commit but if I could buy them for say $1-3 a pair than I would definitely buy them. Plus because people are paying in RLD they are more likely to commit than players who use HPD. I would literally beg for this feature!Just my two cents worth. |
