I did a retirement breeding thinking I wanted to start up some of my lines again but decided to save money and wait till the spring.  This Paint filly is for sale!  Has 5millers, 4millers,& 2millers!  I believe Moorfine is the only one that has part of this family.

Not sure how much I want for her, or how much she's actually worth!  :D

I'm sorry that you feel that way Lenore but cliques are sooo not a thing here on HP from what I can see, and I lurk a LOT. Sure, we have friends here and there but cliques? Nah. We all help each other out no matter whos who. I say let people get salty and then just let it go. You're right, she had the choice to sell to who ever she wanted to. Siib just worries (just with all breeders of any breed) that the lines will die off if they aren't given to an active breeder. (I don't know who is or who isn't for Paints, but I'd feel the same way for my Swissies). Yeah, she posted a 100mil bid because she DID think it was worth it, but after a point it becomes not so worth it. That applies to a lot of things too, not just the pons. 

I'm not gunna get involved any further with this, but I just wanted to remind you ALL that HP is a place for friends, and fun. We can get competitive but we need to not get upset at each other. Simply be better the next time around. You're all awesome people and I don't like seeing my friends upset with each other! 

Koni, I'm glad you haven't had to deal with cliques on HP, but unfortunately a lot of us have - and still do. I don't think it's right that you are trying to make a blanket statement for all of HP to try and smooth things over when it is not wholly true. I get that you wish that everyone will get along, but I'm not sure that's an attainable goal.

I support closing this thread, not deleting it, in order to let the valid points stand as Lenore stated. Deleting it would be a - in my opinion - shameful way of hiding a situation that occurred. Perhaps it will make someone stop and think before being bitter or saying something out of turn next time.

I'm rather disappointed that some established breeders (one a mod, no less), would circle the wagon and become bitter about a potential new breeder having the funds and thinking a foal was worth such a price. It's detrimental to the trust between staff and players, and could (and will) deter potential new players. I hope that something in this vein does not happen again.

oh for heavens sake Siib has 0 intent on getting out of paints it was a joke! Like clearly if anyone payed any attention they would know she has been building up for project Bella for quite a while now. please stop making something out of nothing. We did back out and we would have done so sooner had we believed it would go anything like this. Lets all just get along!

I'm closing this thread. This is out of hand and off topic for a sale thread, so we don't need to keep going at it here. We don't need drama on HP, and sometimes things get heated, but there's a point at which it's time to just end the discussion, which is now.

I've been here for only a month and it really is a thing Koni. It is a lot better than HL for sure but there are cliques and coming in as a new player it is very obvious. It's normal that people stick with those they like but you can even see it in Siib's post where she talks about only selling to those she's close to or whom she thinks is worthy. I completely understand it but it doesn't mean it's not bothersome to those of us who are just returning to the online horse world. I appreciate the community here and how nice everyone is but there could be improvements and I'm just stating one that I see. Overall I really enjoy this site so far and I hope that I find my way in and become an "established breeder." I think everyone here is great and I'm glad I found this game again. None of this will affect the way I play or treat people.
