SLOW COOKER RECIPES

SO I JUST GOT A NEW SLOW COOKER
(THAT DOES NOT MAKE ME WORRY ABOUT BURNING MY HOUSE DOWN)
AND I NEED RECIPES FOR MEALS.


FOR CONTEXT, I WORK 10-12 HOUR DAYS AND WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TOPREP THE NIGHT BEFORE, 
THROW FROM THE FRIDGE TO THE POT AT 6 AM, AND EAT AT 6PM.


SO... ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Well so far the house smells divine.  I will know in another 12 hours.  
Added the meat last night and the stock, then this morning the potatoes.  Veg go in at lunch.

I'm trying these 20 hour plans where the meat goes first then everything else the next morning.


My mom suggested them.

Yeah, that's why I'm doing it saturday - Ill be home to check on it and also.... I dont use that many noodles.

Slow Cooker Stew was amazing.


Basically set the slow cooker for 20 hours, and before bed put in the meat.
(We used stew cut from the butcher, beef.  I seasoned it for a day while it was thawed in garlic and onion, and then put 'er in)


With the meat, in went a bunch of garlic, onion (diced to bits), a bit of other spices to taste (we used garlic plus, red onion salt, and some bbq blend), beef stock, and tomato soup.  Should be runny but not overly, and abrely cover the meat.


Next morning, dice up about a pound of potatoes and throw that in there (I also put turnip in at this time, because I like turnip).  Again, barely cover with beef broth (or water).  


Then at lunch we added whatever vegetables we wanted - corn, pease, carrots, broccolli, cauliflower, beans, etc.  Added another can of tomato soup.  And then let er cook til 6 pm, and "stay warm" til I got home at 7. 


It was amazing, and made enough for two adults and 7 extra portions to freeze.

NEW DESSERT ONE!!!


Apple Pie Guts


Peel and chop up apples (about 10-12)


Add unsweetened applesauce (1 cup) and water (one cup)


Add 1/2-1 cup brown sugar (depending on how much sweetness you want).


Add cinnamon.


Slow cook.


Divine with ice cream
