The night sky over the planet of Ratatoskr is deep and dark - until it is not. Without warning, a shower of light spears through the blanket of space, in an instant resolving into the form of a massive fleet.

After games and trials, the Viking fleet has finally found direction. With Loki’s guidance, you now know the name of your destination. You and the rest of the fleet have come to Ratatoskr in search of an ancient star map to guide you to Valhalla’s system.

The desert planet is arid, hard-packed earth baked to cracking beneath twin suns. Despite the lack of native plant and animal life, civilization has thrived thanks to highly advanced technology. Markets in every alley are full to bursting with the latest cybernetics and the oldest artefacts. If the map you seek exists anywhere, it is in the city-states of Ratatoskr.

The ships descend through the atmosphere and scatter across the planet, and the goal is clear in every mind: Find the star map to Sol.

Welcome back to the Epic Quest - Valhalla! We've returned with Chapter Six!

Here’s how the Epic Quest works: I will host an activity each month that plays into the story being told. You’ll earn small prizes for each activity you complete - like points, HPD, or cash shop items. You’ll also earn XP points, and the player with the most XP points at the end of the year - December 2021 - will win the grand prize:
1. A fully coded tabbed layout from me featuring a graphic themed after this year’s quest and
2. Matching animal CSS and
3. A 1-year upgrade!

Participate in the Epic Quest activity every month of the year, and you’ll earn a special prize:
1. An official HP achievement and
2. A store pair with 100k points.

PLANETARY CONDITIONS

Arid climate - Each Dragon Clan or Horse Clan Viking or Naturalist earns 1 XP point. They help their crew survive in the harsh temperatures.
Each Bear Clan Vikings lose 1 XP point. They hinder the crew's progress due to their unsuitability to the climate.
Populated Planet - Each Loremaster or Diplomat earns 1 XP point. They can interact and navigate the culture of this planet.
Advanced Tech - Each Snake Clan Viking earns 1 XP point. They are at home in this technological culture.
Ancient Artefacts - Each Raven Clan Viking earns 1 XP point. The markets hold many helpful treasures.
Shady Merchants - Each Infiltrator or Warrior earns 1 XP point. They can get useful information from the dealers in the markets.

FIND THE STAR MAP

Thanks to the help of your crew, you’ve managed to track down an ancient star map to the Sol system! However, the data has been corrupted and requires special handling to return it to the fleet.

The star map has been split into three pieces. The crew of each ship will be responsible for returning one piece of the map. The process will not be easy; the corrupted data is transferred to a new location every day. Only one crew member at a time will have access to its location.

Every day, the star map pieces will be moved to a page here on HP. 

1. To start, you need to message me to check in. You may check in daily, or you can send me one check-in message telling me that you are checking in for the duration of the event.
Please keep in mind that checking in means you plan to be active and participate for the day you have checked in! If you check in and are selected but do not participate, your crew may be helpless for the day!
2. Every day, one member from each crew will be randomly selected from those who have checked in for that day. They will receive the exact location of your ship’s star map piece and become the Guide.
3. The Guide must then direct the other crew members to the piece - BUT they cannot share the exact location. This means guides cannot share a link, a name, or an ID with their crewmates! You can come up with hints to direct them towards it instead. (This is on the honor system, guys! Keeping it honest = keeping it fun)!
4. Each crew member must then message me the location of the star map piece after finding it!

A crew member will not be picked twice to be a Guide until all others who are participating this time have had a turn.

PRIZES:
Finding the star map location - 1 XP point and 2k points on an animal each day
BONUS: Finding the star map every day (excluding any days you were the Guide) - 5 XP points
