Does anyone else think that? There are too manybreeds and not enough players to stick with them. The caspian horse was added a few months ago and now i am about to be the only breeder. I think they should stop adding more and take inactive ones off. Players should just be happy with what we already have! /end rant

The breeds we do add, you need 5 breeders. If after a month there isn't at least 3 they will be removed. This way it makes people think twice before stating they will breed them.

haha, I agree in the sense that any inactive breeds should no longer be offered, but that kind of stinks if I'm the only breeder left and I can't buy any more store mates :-/

binny- most people who say hey will start one have actually only said so cause the person said they'd help get the other persons breed get added if they say they will.mem - well if there is someone breeding them they wouldn't get taken off but if there are no current animals or 20 year olds with 0 points then they'd be up to get taken off. :P I've helped sam take breeds out before :P

In addition to the new rules on new breeds being added, we also to periodically go through, and if there isn't anyone currently breeding a breed, we remove it from the store.

Oh,good xD.So as longas I keep breeding my Canadians I won't have to worry about them being taken off and my work being shot down the drain xD.I do agree that there are too many breeds being requested.Maybe a ban on new breeds being added could be put up until more breeders start breeding rarer breeds :P.

If your breed was added AFTER the new rules were posted then if it drops below three breeders it will be removed. If it was added BEFORE that then it will stay until no one breeds it.The breeds are gone though each month and all of that and deleted if they are inactive. But we can only shorten our breeds list so much before we're too limited to attract new people. We have tried to tackle the animal market in other ways (making inbreeding impossible since the very beginning of the game, making it so that lines can't be broken, adding official crosses, etc.) and none of it seems to REALLY help. In order for the animal market to improve players need to be willing to let some of their lines out to the public and take public lines into their own. There's only so much we as the staff can do.

Thats true too. Lots of te breeeders of the popular breeds say they are 100% private.

What I have been doing to help the breeds I recently had added are to produce a decent quality group, put a nice default pic on them, and then give them to a new and struggling player. This has helped keeped my Black Forests from dying off.. But I agree.. there are WAY too many breeds it's hard to keep a community of them.. I also think there are WAY WAY too many associations, I like that there are a lot of them because of the shows, but I think the amount of associations should be cut back, and instead have associations make 2 public shows a week.. I know I'm going to get hated on for saying this but there are some associations that make shows and accept pending animals but they basically just sit there and do nothing otherwise. It's just that it's hard enough to get interest/participation in your association as it is, with all these associations it's almost impossible to even get 1-2 people to take part.. I think the associations that should stay are the ones that can accept a wide spand of animals.

I realize this is getting off topic, but it goes with the lack of animals in certain breeds.. Do all these associations that just take one breed really need to be there if they are even producing/promoting the breed? How can an active association of a breed only have like 10 animals in the game.. I produce about 10 black forests for other people a week, and about 14 other VERY rare breeds to give away in a month. So around 50 VERY RARE animals a month and I'm only one person. Associations could be doing more, and if you don't have time for it, then give the association to a player who does. Or they are a waste of space, and their breed also.

I've started some Welsh Cobs and I do hope other people follow, I am new but I did also realize a lot of breeders of the more popular breeds are private. I don't see the point in that at all.. it's like playing in your own little bubble, very boring! I've invested in lines from two other breeders so far and my back up horses will be available to public, as well as my stallions for stud.
