Two Breed Specialities?

So, I have been thinking and I would LOVE to see 2 breed specialities. One for a dog breed, and one for a horse breed. I know I could just go and open up another account and upgrade it, but I think it'd be a little more convenient and potentially add more competition? Idk, it's just a suggestion, lol. I have both American Saddlebreds and American Pit Bull Terriers and the AS' are set to my breed specialty but I dread training days when I have to do the APBT's. :D

This has been considered before. I think they thought of it being a paid for feature.

I think that it's a great idea

It's been suggested several times before, however the money that supports HP comes exclusively from upgrades (since we don't have a cash shop or advertisements) so we need as many of them as we can get to stay open (HP by itself is expensive to run and keep up, but it's also my full time job so the money I make here keeps me from getting another job giving me FAR more time for HP while I'm in school, if I had to get another job I don't know that I'd have time for HP at all since I'd have to work full time or more).

And breed specialties are a major perk, if we offered more than one per account it could SERIOUSLY cut into our upgrade income which would be bad. Especially since you are still able to train other breeds without one, I really don't see it getting added.

Sorry! As for a paid add-on that people paid USD for, I think that could work in the future. But right now we need to rest a bit in terms of new features, haha, and let everybody get used to these.

What if you charge 15 rld every 6 months to have this feature? Like upgrades...id pay that do start a dog breed on my main! just dont add a monthly option...just maybe 1 yr or 6.mos...if no one buys then no harm done...but if people do then you wont lose any upgrade money...cuz theyll have to pay for the feature

But then people would have to pay the exact amount it would take them to just buy another upgrade with far more perks?

I agree with Samantha. If you are willing to pay $15 rld to have a second breed, it would be better to get a second upgraded account. Then you would have a second breed, a second account for tickets and shows.

^ That's true, but the idea is that people would prefer to pay to have a second specialty on their main account rather than have two separate accounts. The loss of perks from the second upgrade would be worth it if they could have two breeds on their main.If this were available, i'd personally pay to have a second breed specialty on my main over another upgrade. I have as many upgrades as I feel I can handle, I don't want any more, but I would happily pay the same amount to have a second breed added to my main so I can move my labs over.It just depends on what people want. I think that's a pretty good idea actually, because regardless of which one people choose to pay for, its still money going into the game.

That kind of brings up the idea of a higher level of upgrade again though. I mean, if you're going to be paying twice the price for two breed specialties there should probably be other perks too. But that was voted down when we asked about it.

We had a site-wide poll for it, up for several weeks.

I think if there were different levels of upgrades that would be good too. I voted for it. :(

I know I voted against it. HP is already confusing for new players as it is. Adding the confusion of different types of upgrades would make it even worse. But that's just my thoughts ...Although I do like the idea of paying $15 every 6 months to have a second breed on my main with no other perks.

I feel like its sort of nit-picking the upgrade if you could purchase an enter-all for a breed or all breeds.I see no harm in having the ability to purchase another specialty, although it might make players who don't have it feel like the players who do have it are higher than them xD.Just my thoughts xD.

I also think like Black, that this could be confusing for new players, but I guess the lack of confusion comes in by starting as a basic and working up to the premium so you know what you're paying for. I personally wouldn't pay $15 to play with an upgrade if I had no idea what I was getting. There are also very adequate resources for finding out how to do certain things, I still check forums or help if I have questions first. And players here, that I've had the pleasure of talking to, are VERY helpful and will, the the least, point you in the right direction. That's why I like playing. And mobius, Thats the awesome thing though, players dont have to have it, they can pay the same amount to have another account with all the perks of a premium membership. It'd just be easier, to me anyway, to have a DOG and HORSE breed specialty on the same account, as opposed to say two horse breed specialties, or two dog breed specialties, that way no one gets more than anyone else does in the way of perks, you're just deciding to add a single species specialty.

You don't have to have an upgrade to have a breed specialty. Just use a basic account. I think that paying extra money for something like that is a big waste. But that is just my opinion.

Yes but you can only have one per account, which is what this is about. Some people would prefer to have two breeds on one account. It may not seem like a big deal, but having a separate account for my Labs is a major pain in the butt for me and if I could pay to have a second breed specialty added to my main and bring them over, I absolutely would, no questions asked. But that's the glory of this idea. If you don't think it would be worth it to you, you don't have to buy it, you can opt to pay for a whole new upgrade instead, or just use a basic account if that's what you want.

personally I'd rather have another upgrade, but I can see some players wanting this. If it's the same price as a 6mo upgrade I don't see this hindering profits.

I could be wrong, but I feel like most of the people who have a bunch of accounts have them for the tickets/shows rather than the breed specialty perks. >>I don't think it would overly impact the income THAT much.Either way, I would happily pay an additional fee to have two or more breed specialties on one account. I personally avoid having more than two breeds because of the hassle to remember to switch accounts and train the others. Don't even get me started on the time it takes to switch accounts to request the same private shows for two different breeds' animals. Ugh. ):Arn't you guys trying to get more HPD out of the community anyway? Charge people HPD to unlock that until the premi expires or such.
